Hi Kyla! I was in high school in 1974 and Julie's New Year's Eve outfit is perfectly something that we would have worn, right down to the type and color of the fabric. Big, clunky shoes were also very popular at the time. It is a tunic with shorts underneath, also trendy in the 70's. I guess you just had to have been there!🌞
In my personal opinion Kirsten's birthday outfit and Samantha's birthday tea time outfit looks identical.

There is one thing really good thing about Felicity's Beforever Meet outfit. The shoes are the original Meet shoes but in brown instead of black. I LOVE having those shoes in black and brown. The brown goes beautifully with her original Meet outfit. They don't go with this dress, but they look great with that one.
I agree with you on so many of these, but I think my least favorite has to be Felicity's Beforever Meet. I still have no idea why they chose those crazy colors, and I think the skirt looks weird too. Julie's purple holiday outfit ranks right up there too. I remember that my daughter wanted that outfit when it came out and there was no way I was buying it for her. Great video!!

Felicity beforever dress is a complete train wreck. Aside from the hideous colors it looks like either a maternity dress or like she’s trying to shoplift a piano in the back.

Great video! I had the same complaints about Samantha's Beforever outfit and Marie Grace's fancy outfit as you did in the video I made. They're quite awful! And, haha, I compared Caroline to Cinderella too. 😂

@@kylacollects Yes, I did!! I rated my favorite and least favorite outfits of all the Historicals & in a separate video, all the GOTYs. Let me tell you, it wasn't hard for me to find my least favorites! I'm too picky. 😂

I agree the M-G and Cecile pink / blue outfit it yuck! It was both of theirs they share it in the books. It was so awful I refused to buy it even on clearance sale. 😅I kind of regret that now because nostalgia is weird 😅Also Courtney’s ugly shirt with the tie is way too historically accurate. 🤮 makes me think of MTV 😂
also the lilac outfit is lowkey giving 2014, not 1904. it's not something Samantha would wear, but rather a Violetta character

Personally feel like each historical doll and girl of the Year should have an outfit for Christmas and outfit for 4th of July and an outfit for Thanksgiving an outfit for Easter and an outfit for New Year's.

I miss Addy's original pink dress
Like oh my God let me just tell you right now my mom was born on Christmas Day 1950 and I showed her Mary Ellen I said Mom this would be your doll for your time. Is you were born 1950 and Mary Alice 1950 and she looks at maryellen's clothes collection and she said that not every single piece of clothing is historically correct for that particular time period

For Kaya I would pick Kaya's pow wow jingle outfit. It's beautiful. But those jingles fall off so easily. I had the dress as a kid and the metal chimes started falling off the moment I put the dress on Kaya.
My favorite thing in her collection is her school costume and the poodle skirt her fancy frilly Ball dress my mom just did not like that she loved the pearls that fancy really ball dressing that's full of lace shipping different color cuz that kind of pink on Mary Ellen it looks like it would wash her out
It's cute it looks like Samantha would look cute in that dress much better than Samantha's frilly frock in my opinion
Okay with that green skirt if you can use green use a different shade of green with maybe a corn pattern on it because that green is gross looks like vomit. You could also try some yellow or oranges or even browns because that's also part of the Mexican theme it's not just red and blue all time they use different colors
I admit I was surprised you didn't like the outfit at 3:40 at first- then I recalled what you said about things not fitting her character. I agree that most of these aren't my favorites. Felicty's outfit at 5:50 is pretty terrible! I don't mind Addie's stilting outfit either- it's just not amazing ha. 15:09 is really bad for me as well- I can't unsee cotton candy now. I don't think this video is negative- I found it amusing. Besides, I find your channel engaging and fairly balanced

No they look like sneakers to me. I think Rebecca is interesting because she's Jewish but in my personal opinion correct me if I'm wrong I think she and Samantha are around the same historical time period and I also feel like Rebecca's nightgown again really identical to Samantha and Kirsten nightgown

The Courtney pieces I don’t like are her blue leggings and tee shirt with the cassette tape on it. Those were a little too basic for me. Otherwise, I liked her collection.
I honestly I’m not the biggest fan of kids collection overall. I don’t really know much about it though so I can’t say it’s my least favorite. I think it has to be some answers before I ever meet dress. I personally love it and think it’s gorgeous but in her book Samantha does not like the colour pink and the dress is entirely light pink. I mean if it was a truly me outfit or whatever I would buy it but I don’t think it’s very soothing to Samantha and if they want to have the same style they should’ve change the colour 100,000,000%. Honestly my personal opinion felicity's b forever outfit is so cute they should exchange that with her blue dress that she wears for Christmas or birthday surprise I don't know but they should exchange the blue dress in her original collection with the be forever dress in my opinion
I agree I don't like that outfit either the thing I like about Julie is she's a tie-dye girl I love tie dye and I love her workout basketball outfit with her be forever collection I don't know what they were thinking when they put that outfit on her gross
You know what they should put her in something else for New Year's Eve because she's from what the 1970s they also had tie dye back then.
