We are the only ones like this, so I get why they are confused. What a lot of people don't get is that the NFL gets better ratings, but The Game, The Iron Bowl etc have a much bigger national cultural meaning than the NFL until the playoffs.

I grew up about 30 minutes from this stadium. Dude... there is no way to understand it until you've lived it. I commented on a previous video of your stadium reactions about how college football is life in the South. (And yes BIG10 fans, I know you're just as hardcore as we SEC fans are.) There is just nothing like Saturdays in the Fall. If you're ever going to come to the US, come during college football season and just be ready to soak it in.

I would like to add a couple of comments (that will probably not be read) about the football program at the University of Georgia (UGA). While the University is public and receives money from the state of Georgia, the Athletic Department is considered separate and funded entirely by donations and used NO state funds to build this facility (or anything else for that matter, except coaches salaries). Also, our Athletic Dept. has one of the best ROI's (return on investment) of any major Universities in the U.S.
Now, to address the Coaches Salaries. Yes they are exorbitant. However, this is considered acceptable and, you could argue, prudent considering the amount of interest that is generated for the University by a top tier coach and staff. Top college football programs are basically a 4 month advertisement for the University. Also, the resume for a high school senior to get into UGA has to be top tier. To support this, you can see a rise in the quality of student applying to UGA directly correlates with the hiring of Kirby Smart.

Sports science at this level, is something else. They have nutritionists on staff that determine the best caloric intake of each player. So, depending on their needs, that's what they will get. They can take measurements of every aspect of each players physical performance, their gait, their fast twitch muscle response, their explosiveness off the ball etc. The workout routines are tailored to each guy. Nothing is left to chance. This is all common with top tier college football programs.
And no, this facility is not for regular school students. This is the football facility. I'm not sure if other athletes from other school sports can come here or not. Maybe they can.
University of Alabama has pretty nice facilities too. You should check them out.

To give you an idea of how NCAA Football is more of a business than an extracurricular activity- the "Power 5 Conferences" (these are schools in the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC, & Pac-12.....RIP) generated a combined $3.55 Billion in the 2023 Fiscal Year. The Big Ten generated the most revenue with $880 Million while the SEC came up 2nd with $852.6 Million (these 2 conferences had 14 schools each last year)

I live 2 miles away from UGA you can’t get in the city without heavy traffic. So plan accordingly

The main reason colleges spend so much on their facilities is to attract the best recruits away from other colleges

Only athletes can use their facilities! If you like this checkout Oregon and the Colorado Buffs facilities! 4:14

They didn't spend that much. The entire project only cost 2 dollars and 34 cents. That's what Fred Flintstone told me.

Also, Georgia may have the biggest this or that, but some schools just don't have rook for such, mainly due to all the hardware that must be displayed prominently.
All of the championship rings at U of Alabama, for example. Still, War Damn 🦅 :p

Bro, this is my first time seeing this as well and I was blown away, just like you. Now if you want to see how for back this goes you may want to check out the multimillion dollar HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL STADIUMS in the state of TEXAS. There are more than you would think considering we are talking about Texas High Schools. You may also want to check out the Texas High School Football "indoor practice facilities" that run into the millions of dollars as well. 🤯
