    About me:
My name is Anthony Chisnall. I'm a musician & songwriter.
    My channel is these things:
    1. A place to share my music - both songs and instrumental pieces. Much of the music I write features in...
    2. Tutorial videos about music composition and production
    3. An outlet for me to discuss all things musical - including technical break-downs of software and tools that I use, as well as more wide-ranging discussions of topics that interest me.
I play the guitar (electric, acoustic, and bass), and record all of my own synth-based sounds myself too, but I can't sing very well (huge understatement!), and so my wife, Pauline, who has a lovely singing voice, has come to my rescue. You'll hear her on all of my songs.
All of my music is written in Steinberg's Cubase.
I try very hard to make my videos PRACTICAL and no-nonsense - if I don't use a feature, I'm not going to waste your time trying to sound like an expert on it! This is the stuff I use day-to-day, so I think that's also what you'd like to hear me talking about.

Hi Antony. It's unbelievable how many plugins you've already explained. The Synclavier was always a bit complicated for me. Maybe that's because I'm already 60. However. My sincere thanks for giving me a little insight into this plugin.

Loving this series! It's such a complex instrument but these videos make it a lot more accessible and now I might actually start to use it for more than just the presets.

Thank you for these excellent lessons. The tone is calm, collected and the detailed flow very educational. Even for a non-English speaker, it's possible to follow... and understand! These series on legend synthesis reviewed by Arturia are invaluable. I follow with equal pleasure the one you've done on the Buchla. Well done!

Great second installment! I've always skipped past this interface down into the advanced screen view, so it's good to learn what one can accomplish at this level. The Amp offsets seem the most useful to me; I can't imagine fine tuning the individual FM amounts to apply different levels to each partial, but it could be useful to crank it up overall for effect, I suppose. The Chorus was all new to me; it's cool to see the phase cancellation with fine tuning as an easy tremolo. That's something I use a lot. See, I knew I'd be learning new things from this series!

Great tutorial. Very in depth. Interestingly though, on my side the FM amount on the main page is working more like a DRY/WET control for the partial FM amount. If the partial FM amount is set to zero, then the FM amount on the main page does nothing. Is it possible that it was a bug in the version you used for the tutorial?

Thanks, glad you liked it! I'd have to watch the video back to be sure, but I thought I said that if the core FM amount was zero, the main control would have no effect? It only modulates the underlying parameter, so modulating zero always results in zero.
