You have to love Paul, this dude is amazing for musicians and ultimately one of the greatest underappreciated guitarist in history. And his passion, the fact that he cares so much to teach like he has. Truly in my top 3 of all time
At this point he was probably using Laneys... His main head was the Laney Gh100l... Depending on the time frame, he also could've been using a Lee Jackson Metaltronix amp. Check into some Laney combos though.., they sound great. Paul was famous for using Big Muff Pi's for OD pedals as well as Keeley tube screamers. Hope that helped!
Yeah, that really helped man! I've always just been a straight guitar into the map player but my gear isn't really that good. I have an old Marshall Avt 275, its got a small tube in the back buts no tube amp. The overdrive on it isn't very good and I've been trying to get better tones with the gear I have. I've kind of run into a wall and I think I just need to buy better gear now. I've always wanted this kind of tone man!
Paul g is king hands down the best modern rock guitarist of all.

He has had the respect and admiration of guitarists around the world for over 3 decades now.
I don't have to love anyone! I require chocolate.
But yeah, he is very impressive! =-P
@@idocare6538”require” chocolate, 👀 okay…
underappreciated? off course not!
Gilbert's vibrato and bends are so precise and heart warming. I love those whole note bends he does after a little lick demonstration!
"luckily for me, my fingers are connected to my wrist"....... 🤣🤣🤣
And as time went on, that Ibanez Iceman slowly evolved into what is known today as the Ibanez Fireman.
Paul with strat style guitar.. 👍❤
great!!!
First time Paul dodnt use his pinky in that position, then he does...
I sure wish the video wasn't a tiny bit behind the audio
*Singing while shredding effortlessly on stage?*
It's like reciting a poem while solving a complex math problem on the board.
The strat style guitar at the beginning was still an ibanez :3
THERE IS NO ESCAPE.
cool seeing him play something besides and ibanez. not that there is anything wrong with that.
Ha ha!! Remember kids, Paul's advice: It's WORTH it. LOL

I really want to get the tone that Paul has here w/ that blue Iceman guitar. Any body have any idea what amps and/or pedals he's using?

Paul whas a cave man before
I'm just saying, the length of his fingers is obscene. Sucks to be Irish.
