Hello streamer! I’ve wanted to play Rise to Power but I’ve found it can have a lot of mod conflicts that prevent its core premise from working (game wont let me be unlanded). Did you run into this issue setting this up, and if you did could you please tell me what you did to get it working?

The way things usually goes on a normal campaing this one might be quick with him getting killed in a duel against a butterfly, or maybe he'll just slip on his own shit and fall down stairs while being hit by a meteorite .

Also just fyi a bunch of those mods in the current game are incompatible (i.e. the reason you see minor titles is because some other mod is changing the minor titles, the head of the family should be pure cognatic, etc).

@@ZackaryMusgrove Jewish Kings, the Chivalry one, and anything else dealing with focuses. Jewish Kings is the only one with hard incompatibilities, the other ones are just soft

I would definitely not consider that HRE in the traditional sense. We had provence for a couple of generations and then spent the rest of the campaign in Majorca

This man literally went to vegas in ck2 by starting as a lowborn. Fought in a army got injured. Married a wife for like a month and lost all his money.

Its' Nahan Rise to Power is basically a Total Conversion type mod all by itself. It doesn’t play well with other Total Conversion mods. You could go on the creator’s discord and ask, but he’d probably tell you the same thing. For example, I tried to run it with After the End, which basically just adds a new map and mixes around some religions and cultures, but adding Rise to Power breaks it really badly. Every government but tribal turns into Iqta, including the religious heads. Some titles just disappear. The creator got a kick out of it when I asked if this was what to expect when interacting with other Total Conversion mods. I don’t even want to try and mix it with AGOT, which is one of the more computer-slowing mods to begin with.
In theory yes, but the way this mod in particular works is by adding a massive amount of new government types that allow you to play as these "landless" characters. I did a little digging and it seems that a fair few of the government types would be incompatible, but if there's enough interest I'd be happy to put together a patch and see how it played!

as an oldschool gamer, i am always and everytime amazed, that a system of stupidity( pay monthly/for dozens of dlcs, for chests, etc. ) found that many customers, that it became the main modell for business. Like. I would never.

You used to be able to play landless characters in ironman mode if you subjugated a pagan holy order as a duke and then lost all your land, but I don't know if it works with the new Holy Order government type.
You used to be able to do it just after the patch that added the rules came out as well - you could click on a separate character while the rules screen was up and it would let you play as the Pope and other usually unplayable characters, it had some weird consequences on succession though!
@@MrSamuelStreamer Yeah I remember seeing a guy do a Fedayeen series that way a long time ago. I tried it on the Western Protectorate but unfortunately you got an immediate game over as soon as you loaded in because the game thought you'd become a non-merchant republic. Maybe in CK3 they'll finally let us play as these rulers (without mods or bugs!).

You could start as the leader of a mercenary band, sacrifice your band members to evil gods and become god emperor.
This mod is probably going to be one I'll always have on. Can exploit it a bit though. Gold won't go below zero so, if you time things right you can really maximize their benefits. It's understandable since if that didn't happen you'd be so far in debt there would be no way to get out.
Matthew Hallmark be warned that this mod is fairly incompatible with a lot of mods, and it removes the ability to hire new courtiers among other things.
@@dr0g_Oakblood yeah I noticed that but I never really liked the hire courtier option, felt kinda artificial (beyond the fact that it's a game) and inviting people from other courts based on their opinion of your character seems more natural.

About the only time I find it useful is when I need to land a massive amount of people, say after an Alexander Invasion of an Empire and there’s just not enough claimless lowborn (or bastards) of my religion and culture in the realm for each county, so spamming invite holy man just is so convenient.
