Wout Van Aert is something else man. Who else can beat the sprinters, the climbers, and the time trialists on any given day? He needs to conserve energy on stages, concentrate on winning the TDF. With the right team and strategy he can.
@@kristian1332 he's not winning this one. But I think he could win it if he made it his top priority and had the right team that made him team leader. He could climb and he could time trial. Right now be tries to win everything from sprints to mountains to everything. That's a lot of energy. Last year he won Mount Ventoux and the sprint in Paris all in the same TDF. If he focuses his energy on the stages that matter he could absolutely be a contender to win the Tour.
@@kristian1332 TDF winners know when they need to go hard. They need to do good in the mountains and time trials and be conservative and smart in flat stages.
Just stage 2, but the excitement is palpable. The footage, commentary, crowds bundle together the greatest show on earth - yeah I dont give a #@#$ for other sports🤣. No other sport can come close to cycling in pushing human endurance!

Esterhøj is a bronze age burial mound. The stone was carried by ice from Sweden during the ice age and was put there much later in 1920 as a tribute to the unification of the northern part of Germany returning to Denmark after world war I.
Allow me to add that the area is fantastic for cycling. Rolling hills with small roads that twist and turn with low traffic. Also it is a very scenic corner of Denmark with water of all sides.
Good morning champions, try to guess how much l love you guys, what a spectacular Tour.. this is the French revolution l love the most, nobody must get hurt for a healthy rivalry, all riders are suuuuper great, what a lovely audience, just like home in Denmark.. once we share a cycling race together...any other struggle of life becomes.... another piece of cake friends...tell me how do you feel watching that crazy bridge.. when infrastructures become touristic atractions.. try to guess how many other bridges of a kind l would build up, let them come Chinese partners in business helping us save the planet, having more bridges ...for more cycling competitions to share together, yeah, what's good for our planet is good for ourselves as well, is good for welfare, sports interests and feeling just fine together... hoping no more accidents, do not let riders hurt themselves, be careful...riding, respect race maties and stay safe, wish you punish those who cause mass crashes.. it hurts like hell only watching.. looking forward the next race, let them know riders, supporters from home love youuuuu all guys, cycling makes life worth living
HUGE crowds...amazing!

This is hopefully a joke? Winning the TDF that is.

Wout is an AMAZING rider, but he will never be consistent enough on the big climbs to be a tour contender.
@@johns3106maybe, but we don't know for sure because he's never dedicated himself to win it.
All spectacular: views, people and riders. It's the sprinters day and no one can take that away from them. One for the record books.
Wonderful, looking forward to a beautiful 3 weeks!

You are so right, greatest toughest sport on the planet. Can't get enough of it.
What a comeback and redemption from Fabio Jakobsen... Especially after that horrible crash 2 years ago.
Yes
THIS IS SO INTENSE! LOVING THE HIGHLIGHTS! VIVE LE TOUR!!!
Suuuuper spectacular friends, the most exciting adventure riding the bicycles out there in the wild
This stage is very unique, thanks to that long stretch of bridge. I hope the Tour comes back to it in the future.
This is wonderful highlight, thanks.
5:57 That girl in the yellow shirt getting hit by the rider is just brutal
Hope she is ok😮
😮
She didn't have a chance. Yikes.
Damn, that was fkin hard! but she got up immediately, hope all is well. Nonetheless, she will have something to tell her grandchildren😉

Jakobsen fantastisch! Mooi de reactie.
Mantap. Salam from Indonesia
Fantastic production value, though it is strange to ignore the Roskilde Festival. The starting point of the race.
Are there any rules for what pedestrians should/shouldn't do after a crash, like are they allowed to help at all?
Anyone knows the commentators' name in the highlight? 6:54
What is the music at the end?
Where's Cav?
You didn't show the epic comeback from Rigo Uran without the draft of the cars😔
Anyone know what that stone is at 2.38 or it's location?
Apparently it took 500 men and 22 horses two weeks to drag it from the beach up to the top of the hill.
Esterhøj in the municipality of Odsherred

Why does it seem odd that there is a rest day on Monday? After only 3 days of riding - and one of those was a 30 minute TT....
Maybe to give at bit of extra time to move the technical zone trucks and team busses from Denmark all the way to France?
They have to travel to France. Not a rest day for many...
Ask permission to reupload this video..Thanks
Yesterday they said there were no climbs in Denmark.
higest soot in Denmark are 140 meters over sea level. Greatings from a dane. so no climbs only dunes (:
A bridge too far?
Wasn't it a famous movie from the 70's?
Great title.
estaria bien que volvieran los resumenes en español por que no entiendo nada jajaja

Buenos cursos en INGLÉS en el internet. Estudia
Esta vez está habiendo resúmenes en español, con la misma narración. Sale un poquito más tarde
Bad sportmanship for the team cars letting the yellow jersey draft back to the peleton but not the remaining crash group...
I think that jakobsen should get some kind of punishment for the way he treated Sagan in this stage!!!!
This TDF will have The Most falls in history of modern bike Racing
3:18
Wtf, they have a completely flat country, no mountains in Denmark!

均速45...跑200多公里....
摩托車嗎XD
No one in the crowds with a mask, the racing riders, no mask but you make them where them post race. Just give it up, it's pathetic.
TDF riders wearing masks while in the sunshine has to be the dumbest thing ever.
Great summary video. You can feel the intensity and drama. 🥹
