Branches started flying, so I ducted in the door, my heart pounding with fear. The only word out my mouth was, sh#t ! Oh sh*t ! Sirens wailing ! Seemed like an hour, but was maybe ten minutes. That... dark erie green.
I know a lot of 'experts' dismiss the green sky observation, but for me it has never failed. My first instance where I really gave this credence was in 7th grade (like 30-odd years ago) and I could not keep my eyes off the windows. It was already dark being second period math that morning, but the sky was intensely green where the sun was filtering through, and before I knew it, it just went black as night as wind pummeled that side of the building; that classroom was on the 4th floor, and when the building took a huge blast of what was later determined RFD, I was freaking the eff out. I remember actually getting scolded for watching the windows and getting very nervous, pointing out that we ought not be here right now. Moments later we're all hustling down into the basement of the building as the sirens went off, and lo and behold, my paranoia was vindicated!
Wow, that was amazing, and to capture that many back to back, incredible, so glad that you and doggy were ok too, so brave and courageous, just seeing the power the Almighty has. Wow
@@Adunn2999 Who cares about the guy who PUT HIMSELF IN THAT SITUATION. It was his choice, good for him, he got great footage. But bringing your dog with you when you're storm chasing is a bad idea for the animal
What I admire about all y’all is, the April 20-something F1/F2 that came near Vernon, every one called a "not even bigun!". You guys just either sit on the porch and watch or just mosey on with life! Me? We get windy days back home in Idaho but...let’s just say I knew NOTHING of wind, and y’all, if THAT was "not even a bigun"...Lord help me if we get another Moore or Joplin come through! Or some locals speak of a 79 WF bigun? Yeah, I consider myself pretty brave but I might be blubbering like the Yankee b-- that I am! #iwantedmommy
