Welcome back to the Accelerate 282BHP Honda Civic Ep3 Type R, and Kenny's first time on Castle Combe Circuit.
You join us at Castle Combe Circuit for Forge Action Day 2022 where Kenny finally took the track for a session.
Kenny has always been hesitant to participate in an Action Day session because he has seen the amount of idiots that can not follow simple rules, and think it is some kind of race.
The quality of driving at Action Days appears to be getting worse and worse as you'll see from this video. We have a few close calls, general bad driving & track full of heroes! So buckle up and experience why Kenny and I both hate driving on track at Castle Combe Action Days!

The focus being on your left wasn't a pass attempt in my opinion. It's a pass technique where you take a wide entry so you can pass on the exit. Its something i personally do as most beginners take the wrong line through the corner and stay to far right on entry
I take that corner wide too, it's definitely the better line, but it's how close he gets to other cars that bothers me.
It was Kenny's first time at Combe and for beginners it can be very intimidating, if you are chasing lap times, do a full track day, not an action day.
Action days are meant to be a bit of fun anyone can participate in, but aggressive drivers taking the sessions too seriously seem to cause issues.

After looking back at it I agree, I don't think he was trying to pass on the left. However, the line was already compromised as I was stuck behind the Micra waiting for the right opportunity to pass him. If I hadn't seen him (as he was on my left) and went to pass the Micra it could have ended badly. He's a good driver with a good car, should be more aware of things like this in my opinion
Action days are madness and I do avoid them now. Maybe see you on track some time boys

I was in the Blue F80 during your session , and I agree that the day was a bit of a mess on track. To many cars and to many people that didn’t know how to drive on the track. But sick video lads 👌

Love the overtake at the end 😂 you are right, I wouldn't fancy taking something as valuable as an F80 M3 on a session that's for sure!

We've had many people agree unfortunately. Brilliant events held at Combe, but I won't be taking my car on track unless it's a dedicated track day.

I remembered seeing that car with the wheel that fell off. Was stood a bit away from that
I was actually in Matt's bright green Ibiza behind the Saab when his wheel fell off, Kenny managed to catch it on film from the outside, and I got it on film from the inside. Full video is going LIVE on Tuesday! Crazy video!

It really does go well man! People who slate Type Rs really don't know how to get the most out of them.

Car looked like it did really and you looked like you got to know the track well fast. It is a shame on them days that there is always that one person that can't follow simple rules. But can't wait to see what track days your doing next year.

We weren't going to make it into a video as he was soooo focused and not talking (hence the voiceovers and lack of intro/outro) lol but it was good to document his first time at Combe.
We are spending the rest of the year sorting the cars, and really going all out on track days next year!
Really want to sort our own Accelerate track day for everyone too so fingers crossed!

He didn't brake any rules you snowflake it's a track what do you expect them to do 30 to 60 mph round the whole track when I'm at the combe I kill my track cars as that's what we build them for not to go out and show of are stickers you can book a experience day if you want to learn the track in a safe manner one of the best days out i have had you lot need to understand if it's your first time on the track try and get out last that way your out of the way and Learn the track don't complain about some drivers that's using the track as it ment to be used or you can go to the pits and ask everyone to take it easy as it's your first time on the track you will get laughed at like the snowflake you are

We have nothing against him as a person, and I'm very aware he knows his car and Castle Combe very well. What we were referring to was the fact that Action Day sessions are meant to be fun for everyone, not competitive. Complete rookies go out for their first track experiences and some may find it intimidating when experienced drivers are going for hot lap times.
We do plenty of dedicated track days and there just seems to be a lot more respect for other track users that's all.

I actually like the chaos of action days. You can have some really fun duals with unusual cars. I usually go on once every action day
I've spoken to people who like that it's mad out there. I just think it's a bit hectic to get into it with some very slow and inexperienced people out there who just want to have a go on track. Too much of a mix of experience out there
Each to their own of course, I can see how some people would enjoy the chaos you refer too, I just don't like taking my pride and joy out there lol

I was there in my TTRS, you have some drive by footage of it in this video but I don't think we 'met' on track. Totally agree about some muppets not following the overtaking rules though.
Hi Chris. No I don't think we did. I just watched your session, looked like you had less traffic around you too. I owned a TTRS myself. The 5 pot is intoxicating. I do miss the noise myself. Simple rules and people can't seem to follow them.

This ‘Beeep’ driving the Red Bull focus is my partner and he has been working at castle Combe for many many years as a professional driver providing hot laps to good paying customers to raise money for well deserved charity’s! I know he is amazing at driving and he follows all rules as otherwise he would not be ‘chosen’ to work at the track for this amount of time! So before you start bad mouthing he is a well respected driver up at Combe and clearly admired to have a whole 10
Minute video dedicated to him 😅 Ps it was one of the Marshalls who showed him this video and they all had a good chuckle at it - if you feel intimidated maybe stick to the parade laps next time just a thought 😂
Hi. We never questioned his ability as a driver. We can see he has experience and has a well set up car. However, his decision making and aggressive driving style during a day that even my mother could take out her car on track is not good. Being a very good driver he should take into consideration that there are a lot of people out there who have never been on a track before and their decision making could cause a serious accident. As for making a video "dedicated" to him, please!!! There was a serious accident there that day caused by someone driving wrecklessly. The problem with Action days, or "Hero" days as a lot of people have nicknamed them for this reason, is that people can't follow the simple rules. So this video is not just put out there as a dig to your partner, it's to highlight the chaos of an action day. We have another dropping next week which shows more aggressive and careless driving.

Completely agree with what Ken has mentioned.
We do not doubt his driving ability, a very well set up car with a clearly experienced driver, it's how he drives on the action days we were referring to.
We drive hard on track days, but we respect each driver and their cars on track and understand the difference between an action day and a track day.

Indeed, there is a time and a place for driving like that and an action day isn't it.
@@adamreturns1 he is paid to give passengers an experience he’s not going to go out there and drive at a snails pace I’m sure they would be asking for their money back if that was the case. He is instructed to do what he does and drive the way he does by castle Combe and the organisers so if you or anyone else on this page has an issue then take it up with them he does not deserve to be called a ‘prick’ for doing what’s expected of him. He’s also the rally school driver up there so he’s well aware of how he should perform.
That blue focus is always there on action days purely to show off it seems. He's a very experienced guy with a set up car why doesn't he just go to track days lol

Agree, I don't doubt he can drive and the car is a beast. But as Kenny said, there are people going on track for the first time and they are greeted by the likes of people like him not following rules and scaring inexperienced drivers.
