    I observe a lot of different techniques but I always come back to your beautiful style. After observing 60 or so butterfly kicks and learning it, I come back to master it with you always Jade. Thanks.

    I have never before seen such a good explanation of how to do a complex movement like the b twist. Very good!

    That was flawless! The way you move through the air is just so good!
    I love the butterfly twist kick because I saw a move in shadow fight 3 chain knife combo called knife juggler and it incorporates the kick when the appendage gets stuck!

    The execution of that butterfly twist is so smooth 👍👊

    it's can be used as an evasive action and it can be a defensive attack as well, if you use the feet in particular, evade a low or mid sweeping attack and kick the opponent in the process

    dear Jade Xu, your work is fluent and your control of the energy is so precise. it seems hard to me to get that state of mind for training. I have no Master, so your opened tutorials are precious to me. Thank you very much. Receive all my respect and have a nice and peaceful christmas time. n_n

    I feel like this tutorial breaks down how to properly do a butterfly twist with more details than most tricking tutorials. Most tutorials are like "just commit and do it"

    It can be used in multiple ways. I've seen it in movies when someone has to flip over something, or someone. Someone gets hit and they flip to the ground using the butterfly twist. You can incorporate it multiple ways.

    It's about finishing the move early. If you finish the twist while still high up in the air you have time to open up to get that v-shaped Zhao Qing Jian thingie.

  • @OldSkoolLegend
    @OldSkoolLegend 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi! thanks for the reply!! ok....but when i recall....sometimes i overtwist so much that i even land on my right leg instead of the usual left. so....that means that i finish the twist early...if not....i wouldnt be able to overtwist...right? but then ....how come it results in an overtwist and not the v-shape? I will upload a video later and maybe you can have a look at it. and also...i dnt know if this is correct or not....but when i land i am about 2 metres away from where i jumped off...

    I'm pretty sure I've seen the butterfly twist used in The Legend of Korra, and it was primarily used to dodge large projectile attacks.

  • @OldSkoolLegend
    @OldSkoolLegend 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    hell yes! the wushu corkscrew is soooo much better than the tricking one. looks more floaty if you know what I mean.

  • @YIIIIIN
    @YIIIIIN 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    dodge over blade. check wushu fight choreographed, they use to fake fall, which is very fancy in demonstration.

  • @cavalierfou7114
    @cavalierfou7114 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Okay! Sorry but what is floaty ?
    And why is it better than the tricking one ?

  • @LexKusher
    @LexKusher 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    They are a lot more simpler but detailed than the other ones.

  • @yotornadoyo
    @yotornadoyo 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Overtwisting means you probably have time to get the V-shape. What you should do then is open up your legs earlier and aim for a landing. You should not twist until you land, even before you have spun 360 degrees you should open up your legs and prepare for landing on the left leg.

  • @OldSkoolLegend

    Hi. I have a particular question. I used to have a btwist where... as the move is finishing and I am landing....my NON-landing leg would hang in the air like a V shape. But I cant get that anymore. I can do the move....but I don't get the hanging air time V-shape thing. I'm not sure if you know what I mean. Maybe I am not keeping my legs as straight as I used to. maybe this would help to bring V-shape in the end of the move? now it looks more like a "tricking btwist". any suggestions?
