Another episode is finally here and this time its in Seoul!
This trip to Seoul my goal was to see the Design Plaza and do another portrait episode and I got to do both at the same place! It always reminds me of how fun these episodes are and how much love I get from you all when I publish them. It's a lot of work but a good kind :) I should definitely do more of these in different countries to change things up and meet new people.

Haha I have been shooting for 6/7years so yes I can get a normal nice portrait most of the time but it’s still hard to shoot something mind blowing if that makes sense.
The neon shoot in episode 8 was my best portrait I think so far

Haha yeah I got inspired so much from Seoul. Even fashion wise too. Got some sick Korean brand items while I was there.
DDP is amazing I love it. There’s also like an outside area I didn’t shoot in this video that’s cool as well but it only looks good during afternoon or mornings there💁🏻♂️

Utterly amazing photos, Kohki! It has been pretty long since the last. I was also curious how do you have the effect of the red LED signboards effect? I was thinking it could be the slow shutter + the moving of the words hence the effect, not sure if I am correct.

Any reason why you used the A1 instead of the A7R IV or A7S III for this shoot? Just curious as to the thought process, like if you choose a specific camera for a shoot or just grab what's closest kind of thing
Haha good question.
I prefer my old workflow a7s3 and a7r4 but since the episode is quite fast pace and I have a lot of other things I need to focus on it’s less cluttering when you just shoot both photo and video on the one camera.
Also it helps when traveling since it’s less weight and space :)

Haha yes, I used to use separate camera but it’s very time consuming and was a lot of work so I switched things up :)
I hear you. I was shooting video with my Sony a7iv for the first time with a nd filter and had came to a spot where it would be an amazing photo and couldn’t the photo I wanted because i had to shoot with a very slow shutter speed.
"it's for an US based audience." - now i feel out of place as a european 😂

I think the one in ddp with her legs up high haha felt very her✨ but her energy is what made this episode I think, it was just so much fun
