Most excellent of you to provide that information. This over 60yo enjoys BNL and appreciate you naming the songs so we can look up the lyrics. Stellar video too.
Saw them 3 times on this tour and they were so great. Every show was different. They encored with madonna’s “material girl” in Grand Rapids with Stephen on flute. Even met Mike Smith but had no idea he would go on to be Bubbles. One of the best live bands of the 90’s.
awwwww how young were we? My youngest son, who's a demon guitarist born 95, found 'Gordon' in my stuff when he was first playing. We both LOVE it for reasons two decades apart. Power of music x
peak BNL. miss these simpler times. Also at 1:06:49 on the left is Mike Smith of Sandbox. Mike later became famous for his Trailer Park Boys character Bubbles. I remember seeing Sandbox at Dalapalooza waaaay back in the day in Halifax. Their single Curious is quite good. Give it a listen.
It always made me sad that the album that finally led to them being more well-known outside of the parts of the US that border Canada was _Stunt_ . Not that there weren't several solid songs on that album as well, but the first three albums were so much better. Those of us lucky enough to know about them before _Stunt_ already knew how talented they were, and that they always put on a great stage show. And cute little rap interludes were often part of the humorous stage banter when they were playing live, so it's not like those aspects of "One Week" were something unusual. But to people who had never heard BNL's music before, "One Week" probably just sounded like white boys trying to hop on the rap bandwagon.
If I had a million dollars (if I had a million dollars)/I'd buy a whole lot of crack (I'd buy a whole lot of crack)/If I had a million dollars (if I had a million dollars)/I'd buy a bunch of guns to protect all that crack (but only load them with blanks cause real rounds are cruel)
Wow, 26 years ago. Classic. I miss the old BNL. Glad I got to see them several times in their prime.
One of the tightest live bands to ever exist. Either sounded exactly like the album playing live or, in most cases, so much better.
Oh gosh how I miss these days! My boyfriend (now husband) and I would drive all over the place just to see them live!! ❤️
Steven's singing on "Straw Hat" is just phenomenal.
Creegan's bass playing was amazing even back then !!
This makes me equally so happy and so sad at the same time!
Thanks for posting! RIP BnL 2009
I always get chills at the end of Enid. Steve is an amazing vocalist

Break your heart, belting it in the car alone.
This is underrated as hell man
I Was Here

Jim and Ty ..one tight unit! I miss this band
Without a doubt the best live rendition of I Know. "What goes on in McGyver's pants is whose decision?" Excellent. We miss Steven Page's vocals.

I saw them accidentally in 1998 at the HORDE Festival. Not sure it was because I was super stoned or what but it was a fun show. Good times

This was great! Thank you for sharing this! I loved it!!!!
What a trip this was to produce... Brings back memories
You did a bang up job I just wished you didn't cut away from the improvised songs
This makes me feel young again, and I wasn’t born till a year after this
I love the wild energy of these older shows! Unfortunately, Steven's joke at the end of the intermission following "I Know" did not age very well.
Fantastic! Thanks for posting this
You're welcome
oh......i got to see these guys in 96......San Francisco......my older sister got us to watch them........
Thanks for the upload. This is great! :)
wow....this is a blast from the past.......
I love the Uncle Elwyn song
Jim Creeggan though
He’s a Beast of Bass
Thanks
Around the 1:06 mark they introduce “Sandbox” - you’ll see Mike “Bubbles” Smith from Trailer Park Boys. That was his band.
1:06:40 ish to 1:07:00 ish
I totally forgot about the Kraft dinner !
Great band
29:19 Still dazzled by her smile while I crossdress there

The good old days
how did it go from this to.....one week.....?.....
Rebranding by the record label (specifically, Terry McBride)

Too good!!
Did some of these tracks end up on Rock Spectacle?

Barenaked ladies first video
Looks like this video needs Topaz Video AI Enhanced as an option.
This is the show Rock Spectacle is based on?
preserver7777 Yes
Time to go fill a speedo with mayonnaise
If I had a million dollars I’d buy your love Nicole
...not enough to last me through the day...with my Crack habit and stuff... @1:12:40

Or Steve’s coke habit...
He didn't appear to be joking.
