YE KUMBH MAHAAN HAI | CHINTAN KAPOOR | SWATI TIWARI | KUMBH MELA 2021

Kumbh Mela has its own religious importance which is held every 12 years. Kumbh Mela is organised at four different locations by turn and continues for over a month. The date, time and location of Kumbh Mela depends upon the position of the Sun and the planet Jupiter, also known as Brihaspati, in a Rashi (zodiac sign). Kumbh Mela is an important and religious festival which is celebrated four times over the course of 12 years. The location of the festival keeps rotating between four pilgrimage sites situated on the banks of the holy rivers. These places are Haridwar on the Ganges in the Uttarakhand, Ujjain on the Shipra river in Madhya Pradesh, Nashik on the Godavari river in Maharashtra and Prayagraj at the confluence of three rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati in the Uttar Pradesh. .
It is correctly said that Kumbh Mela is the world's largest religious and cultural human gathering. Crores of pilgrims over a course of 48 days take bathe in the holy rivers. Devotees mainly sadhus, sadhvis, ascetics, pilgrims etc. from across the world take part in this Mela.
I would like to mention that due to surge in pandemic situation, studio6teen couldn’t do video shoot of this composition. Thanks to the websites from which we could pick up Kumbh moments and complete this composition which clearly indicates the importance of Kumbh in Sanatan Dharm .
