It is peculiar to understand the issue. Fish oil cost range from Rs 1200 to 2000, animal fat cost Rs 800 to 900 but Ghee cost Rs 500 to 600. Why the supplier mixed the costly product in to cheaper product. Economically It is not possible. Commercially supplier will not benefitted.

Most likely the adulterant is palm oil. But your prices are off. Tallow in india will be around Rs 200 a kilo retail. If sourced without the need to maintain quality or hygiene standards it can be much lesser same principle applies to all adulterants. Adultration its not a 1:1 replacement of weight. It may be to increase volume, match appearance, taste etc. sometimes tallow is used as animal based substitute for grease due to lack of appreciable demand for a higher quality product.

We will prepare class ghee at home. We are spending 3000 for cow milk and we could prepare only 500gms of ghee from that.this is the reality. You can try at your home and check
