- If you've ever experienced love, you'll surely recall the enchanting phase when your love was budding. It's a process that fills the heart with warmth! The yearning to draw close, yet the hesitation that accompanies it; the excitement of taking the first step with the fear of an undesired outcome; that fluttering feeling in the stomach - I'm certain you've all felt it. Expressing your love to someone becomes particularly daunting, when you've already endured heartbreak in the past. 'Healing deep wounds takes time, just as writing the first letter of love takes time.'
With those sentiments in mind, I present a beautiful Ghazal by Jagjit Singh, hoping my rendition of 'प्यार का पहेला खत' strikes a chord with you.

माझा एक साधा प्रश्न आहे.
नुसतं टेक्स्ट म्हणून सुद्धा हे काव्य किती सुंदर आहे. ह्याला जर जगजीत साहेबांऐवजी कोणी दुसऱ्याने गायलं असतं तर हे तेवढ्याच ताकदीने लोकांपर्यंत पोहचलं असतं का? जगजीत साहेबांचा आवाज ह्याला जादुई बनवतो की शब्दचं स्वतः जादुई आहेत.
मी ही गझल नुसती टेक्स्ट म्हणून जरी वाचतो तरी तेवढीच किंबहुना जास्त अंतरी भिडते.
