In the case of Nirav Modi what had happened was, he kept all LoU open. The LoU were for his own subsidary companies. Govt makes mandatory to transact through banking channel only hence to send money outside a bank is must.bor else it would become hawala transaction. Nirav modi engaged in something called called "Round Tripping". In his case bank couldn't ascertain how much exposure were still open. So it marked all transactions as fraud. In fact PNB didn't lose any money it's just some provision entries in books

Diamond a luxury product. India is the largesnt exporter finished diamonds. One of largest source of foreign exchange to India. Nobody forces you to buy diamonds. Usefulness depends on the person. If you don't like it don't buy it. It is the same as any luxury product

Lab grown diamonds are not fake or American diamonds infact they are genuinely certified as natural diamonds and you could see it in the lab grown diamond certificate that it is a Lab grown diamond. In America these days Lab grown diamonds have increased a lot.
