    I love the way you did this your way is my favorite way. Your the only one who helped getting the spine off the golden spring and then put the support on the side I could never thank you enough. No wonder my pages wouldn't fit

    Oh, the egg book! The intersection of Margaret Wise Brown, and Little Golden books. The best! I think I may have an earlier addition of this book that is not a golden book and possibly oversized. Anyway, thank you for sharing your method of putting the cover together. I haven’t done a golden book junk journal, but I’m looking forward to it.🪺🐇💕

    Good morning Patty. Thank you so much for breaking all the steps down. Makes me want to give it a try. And so sweet for Mr Possum cutting the chip board. Happy Easter. Big hugs. ❤️❣️❤️

    I absolutely loved seeing your Christmas memory journal actually journaled in. Most videos don't show the those details. Thank you for the inspiration!

      Happy Easter, Dolores! It started out cold ~ 31 degrees ~ but warmed up with the sun. I'm definitely going to journal about the day because we got to spend it with my son & daughter-in-law! We had a few adventures. Lovely day!

    What a great project, Ms. Patty! So love Golden Book Journals, thanks for taking us along!
    I would just like to mention...there is a crafter named Pink Poodle Crafts who shows how to extend the width of the Golden Book and keep the Iconic spine in tact, if anyone is interested in making a smaller version of a Golden Book Journal.

    I’ve done several LGBook journals and I didn’t know about heat gunning the foil!! Thanks. Learn something new every day, as my dad would say. I’m definitely in the “save and reinforce the whole cover and don’t fold or cut pages” camp and have separated folded pages and reattached them in order to keep the story in order. Fun to see your version!

    That was straightforward and easy to follow. You are a good teacher! I have several Little Golden Books so I will have to give this a try! I love the bunny pictures in your book. So adorable!! I think that is you holding up the huge lobster! Makes me think of my husband. He loved sea food and lobster was a favorite!! Have a lovely Easter.

    This is timely for me. I just got a golden book to make a journal for my daughter who’s bday is May 7th. I looked at older gb multi-post of yours and a few other peoples. I’m just trying to figure out the best way to go. I like heating the foil to get it off. I hadn’t seen that before. I do know I want the whole pages and not cut them or fold them. I’m looking forward to your next installment. Tfs! 🤗😷

    • @JustJournalingwithPossumPatty

      Howdy, Heidi! Thanks for coming along! To make a page, I usually start with one piece such as a page from a book, a photo, a card, or a letter. Then I just start grabbing items that may match in some way, i.e. color, theme, pattern, season or sentiment. I like papers, ribbons, material, ephemera, paint, and such. An idea begins to form but as I make the page, it always develops and changes. I believe the best way to get started to just to start. The ideas will flow as I work. Blessings & Bubbles...oooOOO

    Great video - What do you use to edit your videos? I Movie? Do you edit on your desktop or on your phone and about how long does it take you?

    • @JustJournalingwithPossumPatty
      @JustJournalingwithPossumPatty  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Howdy! Chuckle. I was just discussing this with Dolores (@Dolores J. Rush). 99 and 44/100 percent of my videos right now are edited with an outdated ~ can't get it anymore ~ movie maker software program that came built-in on my now obsolete Dell computer! The computer is pass it's prime ~ over 10 years old ~ and not supported anymore. It's a monster ~ big and heavy ~ and it eats up batteries for breakfast. I don't think it will last much longer. I'm trying to learn to edit on my newer Dell but to tell you the truth, the old program is much easier to use. I use a Sony digital camera on an old tripod (20 years?). No special lights. I might use my phone for a quick shot if I'm outside but then it gets added into the film from the camera. It usually takes me an hour to edit because loading the film into the movie maker is turtle slow. After loading, I edit, and then it has to process ~ again the computer is slow at this. I review before uploading to TH-cam. So it's a long process. The still shots are taken with an even older camera that I broke and is currently being held together with a rubber band. And that's the story! Blessings & Bubbles...oooOOO

      @@JustJournalingwithPossumPatty You're seriously the best! That is too funny because your videos look great! I am having a hard time figuring out how to edit videos and I have made about 300 videos without any editing. So I am just asking around. Thank you so much again! -Mary

      @JustJournalingwithPossumPatty  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@plethoraofpaper6388 Wow! That's a lot of videos! I think my most watched video has the least amount of editing because I was trying out the software on the newer Dell. So, to tell you the truth ~ does it really matter? I like to edit and add bits and bobs ~ but that's just me playing around. Blessings!
