Great video. The WW2 bunker was an emergency control centre for the Midland Main line should the main centres be bombed. It was never used as far as I know. In drier months a clear brick line appears showing the edge of a platform that is buried. You could pluck the bricks out during a drought. One of the brick huts on the way to stairfoot was a platelayers hut, the second is still a mystery to me. There's a similar one just off the Great Houghton coal branch.

Brings back loads of memories as a child growing up near the Station
There was a reservoir on the right hand side on Newlands Avenue near the top where the new houses are. It was all brick lined and had a valve & a big ball that floated on the water which kept it topped up. Cudworth Council filled it up with old rubble etc in the late 60s.
Just below it on the road there was a footpath that took you to the station entrance where the Hull & Barnsley platform was. It now only goes part of the way down.
That is where the bridge crossed the tracks to the other side where the old station building was. I used to train spot from the bridge, the station master always kept telling us to bugger off.
There also was a pumping station to the right of the Station that collected Water from the stream.
So much more to see. Look forward to the next one.

I might be wrong, but I am sure I saw you less than an hour ago driving past Halfords in Huddersfield. Dude looked like you either way, haha Looked like you/he was trying to catch a look at the railway building work going on beside Halfords. If it was you, I was the guy is the silver builders van. Spooky that a few hours earlier going up newsome hill, I thought I saw another TH-camr I follow, Urban explorer @BeardedReality.
