Top needs: 1. A stud Tight End 2. improved run game - a new running back and better coaching -the run blocking has been awful and 3. a stud linebacker with size and speed to stop the run and cover TEs
You guys are right on. The Broncos need a number of key players to continue to move forward. The offensive line stands out to me. The Buffalo line was opening up huge holes for their running backs. The Broncos won't ever have a solid running game, if the backs don't have those vertical holes to run through. Being able to run downhill consistently makes a huge difference. Puts less pressure on the quarterback. It will be an interesting off season, and I think the Broncos will be smart in finding the players they need to continue to move forward. 2024 was a good season to build on. Keep up the good work.
I definitely agree the development of Drew Sanders at MLB would be a huge internal solution for the Broncos moving forward. One player that was not mentioned is JL Skinner. I would love to see him step next year and take one of the starting safety positions. AT Perry is another internal chess piece that could take a major step next year and really elevate the WR room. It’s been a great fellas. Thank you for doing what you do!
Hey fellas, what a year! I know that I didn't do a lot commenting, but you guys have built quite the following over the past couple of years. I'm stoked about the future! I love you guys!✝️❤😎 Much love Broncos Country!
Drew Sanders was the #1 ILB for many people leading into that draft so I am not sure what went awry in that plan. Maybe they saw a need at Edge before Bonito and Cooper had breakout seasons and Tillman and Ellis developed where now it's a strength and they can move Sanders back inside??
@@rowdystaudi yeah well that's ancient history now and the edge rushers for Denver is a position of strength so I don't see Sanders getting much playing time in the rotation so a move back to ILB could help 🤷
Went went "awry" in that is when we put him at ILB on the team he looked dazed and confused an was playing like complete and absolute TRASH. Do you guys even watch our football games??? How do you not remember this...
Cody is right about the run blocking scheme. Even the best backs need a bit of space to run through. Our backs may not be the best , but when there is a hole they do okay. Unfortunately all too often they are running into the backs of their own o-line because nothing has opened up.
@@Tiditnak idk I don't really think that happens that much. It does happen sometimes but it happens to every team occasionally. I think the scheming is mostly fine. It's when we have open holes and the running backs go down when they're barely touched or they pick the wrong hole is what really hurts us. Line wasn't as good run blocking as they were pass blocking but I think the RBs themselves are 85% responsible for their performance this season.
@@zachanderson8076 Like Cody said, just look at the difference between the holes the Bills created and the lack of holes the Broncos backs had to run through . There was a significant difference.
Definitely need to add to the DL... Zach Allen played 200 more snaps than the next DT in the league. That's simply not sustainable going forward. ILB is obvious. A Safety to replace PJ Locke. RB, TE & WR are also obvious on offense. Some FA targets should be Zach Baun, Nick Bolton, Jevon Holland on defense. Dawson Knox, Najee Harris or Ty Johnson on offense. Should be interesting knowing Denver has the cap room this off-season
Great stuff guys! Going to be a fun off season! Fun that we get to finally add weapons around a new franchise qb! TE, RB (either order on those two...but thats the top needs....ILB, DT, S. (More Corner Depth later in draft)
Thankyou it's wonderful to a place like locked on BRONCOS with two great hosts to share all things BRONCOS looking forward to what's ahead have a fantastic night go BRONCOS
I'm leaning a lot heavier towards RB and automatically followed by a legit TE as well. The offseason is going to be fun! Great show as always, LOB! #DB4L
Wishlist should be, TE primary pass catcher need a good saftey blanket. RB with good vision and speed. More athletic LBs. True seperators at WR. and Coverage Saftey.
I feel like you go in and get some strong defense in free agency , Zach Baun, Milton Williams, Carlton Davis, then go get Tyler Warren in the 1st round, and as much as I’m not sure I like the guy, Cam Skattebo, as a flyer and have him as an option if Estime isn’t the guy. Obviously a Tee Higgins would be amazing if you could pull it, or even Davante? But I’m not sold out WR core isn’t good enough this next season if we address these other spots.
I think Mimms has a breakout next year and Vele becomes that Tim Patrick we always wanted but could never come to fruition through injuries. And I think Bo gets with Franklin and fixes some things this offseason. Also, let’s go get Bo’s brother just for fun, good story in the least! Sorry for the long comments, been thinking a lot about this!
I think I would add an RB 1 to immediately juice up the room, I like Estime and Mcglaughlin, Badie has promise... So far though I think only Estime has the power/burst to punch through the middle in a ground and pound situatuon to establish the run in tough trenches, maybe if we scheme him up blocking that fits his style a little better he can break off bigger chunks, but I think a relentless 1,2 could easily break down lines and establish the run early... A recieving tight end is sorely needed, but historically they don't often make a game breaking difference in their first or even second season, so who knows maybe next year krull, trautman or atkins break out? but hey bringing in a guy could be nice. I think a slot reciever with good YAC potential could really open things up for our WR room affording our guys more breathing room for some of the deeper throws and quick passes. Defensively, We need some help at safety, I'd like an improvement in pass pro, but if this is a wish list he'd also be a bigger guy that can stuff runners in a pinch (think TJ Ward, knock the ball out if you can't protect it). We definitely need depth at ILB, maybe we can start Sanders there next year, but I'd still like to see another guy there possibly, who's fast and good at pass pro... and I like the idea of a mammoth nose tackle to really squash interior runs. I love our D line, and they're excellent at winning the pass rush, but we do have an exploitable weakness when we face those big o lines from the north east. We have struggled to break free of blocks and make key stops against the run when we face top backs with a good line (see Bills, Ravens). That last one is definitely something that we might be able to address with coaching and scheme, but Dj Jones is a free agent, and doesn't typically play that position. If the other team is determined to pound the rock having an extra guy to stay fresh would help longevity. I'll be excited to see what George and Sean decide to do, We've drafted and signed a lot more hits than misses over the last few years, so I'm confident they'll make the smart decisions, even if it's criticized heavily (see Bo Nix 😅)
Top needs RB, Playmaker at WR/TE and on defense MLB/S. The tackling needs to be better after the DL is doing there job. Buffalo had over 100 yards rushing by halftime
Number 1 rb draft as high as we need to, te trade or sign in free agency. It normally takes a couple of years for a te to develop. 3 inside lb , bring back our two starters as back ups. Wr either draft or signing defensive lineman how ever we can. Do this and we can compete with the big boys. Wouldn't mind bringing back Simmons on a team friendly deal
I don't agree with Cody. 1. New age Offensive coordinator. 2. Better offensive line coaching. 3. Defensive coordinator who cares about stopping the run …Let’s start there… Because without any of this, the players won’t matter. Because we have plenty of talent.
I guess using a fullback is passe, but I think having one in the backfield more often would help their run game, give Nix more protection, and another short option. Another offensive need- the WRs need to DROP LESS PASSES.
I know a lot of folks want Tee, but i dont think that is very realistic after last nights game. We need to fix ILB and Safety in FA (maybe DT) ...and i just dont see us breaking the bank for home boy. Fix holes in FA, add stud weapons and depth in draft
Before we choose any prospects in the draft.....we need to trade back and get some more picks for this draft first. Good players always fall in the draft. Especially with skill position players, which we are in desperate need of

I think the Broncos biggest need is four mammoth / athletic linemen... ,two for the offense and two four the defense... Preferably of the samoan descent. Moreover, the present blocking scheme Denver uses ---- would best be served with bigger and stronger linemen in the trenches! I'm really sick and tired of seeing Denver's entrenched linemen being smaller than our opponents. At times in the trenches, it seemed like a college team playing some some local is local high school team. I think the Buffalo game, Denver was out powered and outsized in the trenches. I keep hearing everything about getting better running backs --- but I say, if there's no hole, what good is a new running back going to do?🤔🤨 I'm trying to get some feedback on whether I was seeing things or what?🤔😊
Broncos needs A lot of work Done Right on Defense offense safeties linebackers another corner Back Better wide Receivers Better cover men down field some one To Do well on not missing Tackles giving up big yards after the catch This mess need To be fix 2025
Bonitto needs to step up next year. He's still a liability in the run game. So is Cooper at this point. MLB is just a guy who overachieved. MLB is the heart and soul of that D and an elite guy would push the D forward immensely. Same goes for Safety. Locke is a #3 Safety at best. Brandon Jones looks to be the real deal but unless Skinner explodes onto the scene, they need a new starter there. Franklin is a project still and hasn't demonstrated he's ready for any kind of consistent role at this level. Mims is a niche wr that opens up specific plays like bubbles, jets, etc.. Can he be a consistent route runner? Jury's out. Vele is green but shows the ability to catch with his hands, is deceptively quick, and is worth developing. The TE's are just guys. After the Dulcich calamity, the Broncos need to hit on one. The RB cupboard is bare. 33 is washed and no longer a legit RB1. 38 is a gimmick scat back. Badie is just a guy. Nothing has pointed to him being anymore than a journeyman. NONE of these guys have any vision. You help 10 by getting him a run game. Even Elway needed a legit run threat, so does Nix.
The Major Answers to the off-season is draft Tyler Warren. He will unlock the offense. Draft a Rb in round 2/3. Commit to a Legit 1-2 punch with estime. Sign Dre Greenlaw ! Sign/draft a big Nasty DT Cut ben powers (cap space) sign justin simmons back short term,(his heart is in denver). All while developing a young safety. Also let the young wrs Grow and build chemistry with Bo. i think Franklin can be a 1000 yard wr. In Yr 2. keep Court 2yr deal.
@LockedOnBroncos Yes it sounds crazy. But to me he's not dpoty. I would take a ridiculous offer in a second. He is not a shutdown corner, he's a very good corner.
I think you guys are too high on AE. Coach doesn't use or believe in him, so much that he benched him in favor of Tyler Badie. Hope he does step it up but just been hearing about him so much but it doesn't align with the coaches view of him.
Broncos should check out quinshon judkins from ohio state....dude is 6'0 and has speed ..hes a running back!!! Check him and let me know what you think.
I reading the Message and the People dont see we need a Good WR that should be one the Broncos should be looking for a good WR Bo Nix would be a better QB..gose to show you that people dont see what's going on..we needs WRs
Grt rid of WR Sutton Sutton he is Good for Droping 2 passes per Game a real number 1 would catch the Balls that are that are put in has hands he needs to go because the Broncos dont need once in a while. players...RB Williams needs to go he should of been gone 2 years ago...people keep thinking he was Hurt and lost weight...you both were saying that in Preseason..I was saying keep Samaje Perine..he would be Bo Nix Safety net..and we need a new TE very badly
Top needs: 1. A stud Tight End 2. improved run game - a new running back and better coaching -the run blocking has been awful and 3. a stud linebacker with size and speed to stop the run and cover TEs

How much draft capital can we get for Surtain?
It worked for Wash and Houston.
On Sun, we were all reminded just how far back we are from competing.
They ran into a far better, more experienced team. They competed all year. Strong disagree with you.
@LockedOnBroncos 1-7 against winning teams. I also disagree. We need strong help at every single position except qb and safety.
@TT79- so your solution is going to be trading the likely DPOY?? We’ll just agree to disagree here.
@LockedOnBroncos Yes it sounds crazy. But to me he's not dpoty. I would take a ridiculous offer in a second. He is not a shutdown corner, he's a very good corner.
Tee Higgins not coming to Denver
Says who
@LockedOnBroncos I talk to some of his people 💯🤷🏾 I no the family
@@jahmielwhite5869 That's cool and all but I doubt his side would reveal anything about what they're planning on doing.
@LockedOnBroncos 🤟🏾
Getting a top running back won't be much help if Payton keeps ignoring the run game.
TE RB the entire middle of the D NT ILB safety
I think you guys are too high on AE. Coach doesn't use or believe in him, so much that he benched him in favor of Tyler Badie. Hope he does step it up but just been hearing about him so much but it doesn't align with the coaches view of him.
WR.ILB.DT.S.RB
1. RB
2 TE
3. S
Draft wideouts. We don't need a $30M reciever.
Broncos should check out quinshon judkins from ohio state....dude is 6'0 and has speed ..hes a running back!!! Check him and let me know what you think.
Danny Stutsman LB can prolly fall to 3rd round.
I reading the Message and the People dont see we need a Good WR that should be one the Broncos should be looking for a good WR Bo Nix would be a better QB..gose to show you that people dont see what's going on..we needs WRs
Don’t we have $60 million in Wilson dead cap space next season? How we gonna improve with that over us?
No. $32M. Thats not even a problem for them anymore
Replace Locke to
I want jeanty bad
Who needs to really step up is Troy Franklin, too much talent for the results we got this year.
NIX wont be the franchise QB until he wins a Playoff Game - Elway was money ! So is Mahomes ! - you find a way - Elway did way more with less
John Elway lost his first every playoff appearance in the Wildcard his rookie year. Also, who said you get to make the rules?
No, he's the franchise QB now
We over-hyped moss
Nah. He’s gonna be just fine
Because he struggled for one game against Joe Burrow in his first game back after a knee injury?
He can’t stay healthy
