    Any mock draft that doesn’t have the Saints taking a OL in the first 2 rounds I don’t wanna hear it. Having a good/elite OL unit you can actually hide a lot of bad spots on the roster. Protect the QB, better run game, better time of possession protects the defense.. it’s a no brainer to me

      When you have one of the worst defenses in the NFL, you need to get defensive help,early, too. Both sides need sever rebuild

      @ Agreed, best way to start imo is to do away with all these overpaid vets. I love Cam, Tyrann, Demario but it’s time to get some younger guys in there.. I’d trade AK too 😭

    The Philadelphia Eagles, Washington, Buccaneers, Buffalo, defensive fronts and LBs play with a passion and rage . They are so quick and powerful to the ball .
    I wish the Saints play that way 😢😢😢

    I’m sick of the Saints pretty much only going on the prototype and RAS. It has not worked at all. Take the players that show up on tape.

    Joe Brady should be the guy tbh. He’s a young offensive genius. If he pans out, we have a coach for a solid 1.5 decades just like Sean. Offensive minded coaches will always be a better pick for HC than DCs. Why? DCs don’t get poached as much for HC jobs so you’re at less risk of losing a good one to a HC position.

    • @XxRico199

      Look how many defensive coaches made the playoffs

    • @LilRedRasta
      @LilRedRasta วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @ Look how many lose their OCs soon after. Then every couple of years they got to find a new one.

    • @LilRedRasta
      @LilRedRasta วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      @ We’re talking long term stability rather than if a defensive coach is good or not. An amazing offensive minded coach will always bring more stability for an organization because again DCs don’t get hired for HC jobs at the rate OCs do. I also think it’s easier to find competent defensive coordinators than offensive coordinators. If I’m the Saints I’m going get Brady and see if the former Jets coach wants to be DC. Now you have a young nucleus that could stay around for a decade.

      Maybe I'm missing something...didn't Brady suck at Carolina? Wasn't he canned? If you're thinking about his success at LSU, he didn't call plays, Ensminger did. He's having success in Buffalo but is that a product of the players on the field? Like he had at LSU?

    Ross, I can't trust your mock draft when you want us to draft a TCU WR in an early round. The last 3 1st rd WR from TCU drafted were Quentin Johnson (1 pick before Zay Flowers, 2 picks before Jordan Addison), Jalen Reagor (1 pick before Justin Jefferson, 4 picks before Brandon Aiyuk) and Josh Doctson, who wasn't taken before anyone great, but was a bust in his own right!

    The line of scrimmage, the line of scrimmage, the line of scrimmage. The Saint's no.1 problem is at the line of scrimmage both offensively and defensively. I know the "skill positions" are the nice shiny things people like but acquire that after you can control the line of scrimmage.

    Have I missed it or is there no episode about Derek Carr refusing the paycut? I was very interested in your opinion about that, Ross.

    • @Notmuchgoingonhere
      @Notmuchgoingonhere วันที่ผ่านมา

      It should not have been brought up to begin with by that reporter. QBs that take paycuts are normally veterans that have been on the team for a long time and the team is a contender for the Super Bowl. It is not the situation for a QB to take a pay cut. And as far as I know, the Saints did not ask him to take one. A reporter asked him if he would.
      As a Bears fan it looks like the Saints fans don't want him. They should just let him go to another team that wants him. It never works out when a fan base hates the QB.

    • @ulfnordwich3472
      @ulfnordwich3472 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @Notmuchgoingonhere I agree with you mostly, but I take it with Nick Underhill, Mike Triplett & Co., that the Saints should not pay a QB over 90 Mio $ the next two years, even if he is worth it. If they cut him this season they save cap space and especially real money. He would enter the free market and I think this would be difficult for him this year with e.g. Sam Darnold, Kirk Cousins, Brock Purdy, Russell Wilson all becoming free agents this year.
      I am not saying he must consider a pay cut, but it is not that unrealistic. And for the Saints I really would like them to think about cutting him otherwise, take the pill in cap, start with a 5 mio veteran Qb and Rattler and begin with some kind of rebuild. I know, this means a lot of other veterans the Saints still would have to keep to get under the cap, but that money is mostly already spent. I think a lot of the other veterans can even help a little in the process, help with the cutlure, be a part in the rotation, etc.
      But for me, it is time for Carr to go. Especially after his last injury, when he hurt the team with his foolish dream he can be as Taysom.
      I am not saying Derek Carr is a bad QB, I am not saying he is not worth his contract in particular when comparing him now to other QBs with similar contracts, but if you can likely have Fields, Dalton, Wentz, Winston, Garapollo, Facco or Mac Jones (no particular order) for less then 5 mio... Not saying they are better then Carr, but they are not 10 times worse then him...
      Perhaps with him there is still a little, little chance to get to the POs, but that is it and I think it is time to start new and it has to start with a new culture building HC and a new QB. Let's see if Rattler is the future, let him have help from a another veteran to back him up and if it does not work out - We will have a better draft pick in a likely better QB-Draft in 2026.

    My top pick has always been 1 Joe Brady 2 Aaron Glenn 3 Mike McCarthy 4 Darren Rizzi but I’d go after the young inovative OC route I know some people want the Dan Campbell CEO type coach but I’d rather have a Coordinator you want at least one side of your ball always remain the same what happens to Dan Campbell once His OC and DC leave? We don’t know yet like i remember times the saints had bad defenses but the offense remained the same and Drew had to damn near put up over 40 points just to win games I think when u have a coach like Campbell or Rizzi if u do end up having success your coordinators get taken and then you have so much change I just don’t see that being a lasting formula

    Joe Brady’s biggest contribution in buffalo is he started running the ball, that’s not genius it’s common sense. He gets this genius label slapped on him and it’s undeserved. The man has had 1 fully successful season calling plays while already having an established mvp level QB. Everyone has been trying to, unsuccessfully, anoint this dude since 2019.

  • @LiveWithPurpose365
    @LiveWithPurpose365 วันที่ผ่านมา

    What’s up Ross, HC Joe Brady makes the most sense. If he works great if not back to the drawing board or Todd Monken, no more defensive HCs, it has never worked for the Saints .. They can’t find a QB or something with the offense..
    At this point a good OC is harder to find than a DC .. Defense is about zone coverage, and you have to have offensive strategy and personnel to beat them, ijs

    Honestly, i doubt the best options will consider the Saints with Loomis still the GM. It would be a serious career mistake based on his track record.
    The team needs so much help. Only a HC who would require full control should even consider this opening. I'm not sure one is out there right now.

    Brady’s success is built on J Allen (He is unique )

    Between the two coaches I'm torn right now. Aaron Glenn is a defensive guy while Joe Brady is the offensive guy. Wherever JOE BRADY has coached offense it's been LIT 🔥. So I'm Intrigued by hiring Brady's offensive mind. I also think Aaron Glenn can come in and tighten up the loose ends and build a winner. Still wanna see more of the Spencer Rattler development. He's young and very gifted. Saints Top needs are...1. WR. OG, DT, OT, DE, C (backup), FS or SS, SLB, RB (backup). The Saints desperately need a Big bodied WR difference maker that can be a threat on the field. OG is the other massive 🕳️ hole on offense. DT is the 3rd greatest need on defense. While DE is not far behind it. Saints need to do a better job at targeting and timing Top stock talent in the NFL Draft 1st and Free agency 2nd. Choose wisely.

I understand other coordinators have been in buffalo but they also have had success there as well… I mean it’s not like Brady was inherited a dumpster fire he got a really good team to take over to start. That wont be the case here. Just saying the ravens game will show most. That’s a team that can score with them. That game will be a chest match between the two oc’s
