Great voice acting in hear. And one of the best if not the best version of "come away death". There is still another version of "come away death" I can't find that I love the most. It's almost like bit cheery at first and then switches to solemn by the end. This was an audio book I heard sometime in 2008 so it had to have been recorded before then. Anyone have an idea what I'm talking about?
It may be the David Tennant (Malvolio) version from 2012. Twelfth night is great because there are quite a few really good radio adaptations to be found on TH-cam.
What does Andrew say in act 3 scene 4, line 191 after he says “nay let me alone for swearing” ? He turns around and says something like “AVORT! YOUNG COXCOMB, SIR ANDREW CALLS” but it’s not avort, it’s smth else ?? Can anyone hear?? 1:23:14 ish
Would you mind explaining this to me? I can't find any lesbian relationship in the play, all I could say is that Orsino fell for Cesario so he is bisexual. But the other characters fell for other heterosexual characters. I mean, Olivia's love for Cesario is heterosexual because viola was pretending to be a boy... Then why do people keep commenting about lesbian love??
A mostly excellent production - but why such a remarkably unfunny Aguecheek? For that matter, was Olivia envisaged as a 38 year old, the age Josette Simon was (and sounds, at the least) here? I had for many years a recording on cassette tape of the BBC's 1982 radio production with Alec McCowan , Harriet Walter, Wendy Murray, Bernard Hepton, and Andrew Sachs as a hilarious Sir Andrew. For all its clarity, this production doesn't quite have the charm of the earlier.

It's a 1998 BBC Radio Three production. The cast includes among others - Michael Maloney, Josette Simon and Anne-Marie Duff.
