Hey Guys and Gals what an unbelievably awesome haul in today's video. Finally some pure Copper and not Copper coated aluminium from an old three phase Welder. A long breakdown, but definitely a fun one . Another awesome free piece from my friend, and a great addition to the stack so sit back relax enjoy but most importantly I hope you have an awesome weekend. Take care and see you all next Friday 👋🏻😃.
I remember I used to watch your videos when I was in my sophomore and junior years. When classes were stressful and hard to deal with, I would watch your videos to relax and get my work done. Now that I have finally graduated high school, I want to thank you for helping me get through it.
Well done getting through! We all struggle, in some way. And what better way to zoom out, cope or pull through than getting some BigstackD love? And BigsnackD is the best cooking channel on the 'tube on top of that!
I just love how we all are gathered around BigstackD's fire, mesmerized by the melting metal, the sound of the fire and sound of boots on rubble. This is cotton for my stressed brain. Also; love the birds and the dogs of course.Thank you!!!
Yes, I know the crows are bullies, but you should leave some raw peanuts in their shells out for them. Crows are extremely smart and see everything! They know you like pieces of metal and if you feed them peanuts, they will often bring you little gifts like nuts, bolts, screws, nails, coins, whatever they find that they think you'll like in payment.
100% befriend the crows! They are overly cautious because they are so intelligent they understand humans are often danger. Give them nuts etc for gifts and they will make it worth while
Fun fact, the Magpies are actually in the same family as the crows, the Corvid family. They are also extremely intelligent and tend to be less prone to negative behaviors. Some people have actually trained both magpies and crows to speak much like a parrot. I have seen first hand, a Crow dropping off gifts for food. It's pretty awesome how intelligent they are!
I was trying to remember what the wrinkles in metal after poring remind me of, and realized they remind me of the tops of brownies. I love watching the disassembly just as much as the melting, its always so satisfying to see you sort the metals after destroying something. No clue why. I am so excited every week to see what is new, thank you for being you!
As someone who was inspired to scrap and melt because of your videos, I have to say I like the copper pours the best. The way that it flows when pouring and feels when cast is so satisfying. I'm not able to source nearly as much copper as you, so videos like this allow me to experience copper pours vicariously through you. Thanks!!
Copper would have to be the favourite melt, for sure. The colour and the easy of flow when it's molten and how it dances about in the crucible. The worst is probably brass, due to it being quite, 'lumpy', when poured, as a result of not being able to heat it up quite as hot as you'd like because of the vaporisation of the zinc that turns into poisonous zinc oxide. Aluminium can be a bit, 'soapy', as well, if there's too much crud in with it, due the clean stuff melts better and looks great when it's that lovely cherry red colour when molten. You did exceedingly well in today's video.
I've been to scrap metal merchants today with an artic to deliver steel ! And I was told copper as gone threw the roof , your sitting on anice copper mine with what your melting . My friday when I've finished driving is my highlight watching you melt love your videos 👍🇬🇧
Great video. One of my favorite clips ever around 33:00, the long shot of copper melting and loading more through the top. I love those long shots of copper wire melting

Copper is by far the melt favorite. Wondering if the wires that have a silver color contain a certain amount of silver. Can't wait for the silver contact recovery video. . . I don't think that was Bigstack's actual voice.

Hi bigstackD, I like all of the metals you melt but I'm in love with what I call dancing copper, you know when it is melted and you show us inside the forge and it seems like the cooper is moving all around, looks like it's dancing to me. After the copper I like the Aluminum and lastly the brass, the brass seems to be the hardest one to master. But you're the closest thing to a master that I know of, but I think I'm right about that. Anyway love the video's, don't usually comment but always watch, so always be safe and wear your safety gear, which you are great about doing. Thanks for the vids. 😀✌❤
All good Buddy, I’ve got a pipe Crusher/Can Crusher/cable cutter/pipe cutter all in one being built for my friend on TH-cam who will be dropping it off in a few months. His channel name is Grumpy Harley Rider👊🏻😁.
I don’t know why, but I feel like I’ve gotten the impression lately that moneys been tight for you. I know you’re not getting nearly as many views as you used to. If that’s the case you should really tell us, if you actually needed the help I wouldn’t hesitate to do what you request that you put in every video description
Hey Josh, how are you Buddy ? money is always tight, especially with the new property and ongoing maintenance but nothing more than usual. Yes, the channel is probably at its lowest view wise in three years but it’s still cruising along so I’m not gonna stop any time soon mate. Yes, I put in the description how the channel can be helped without anyone really doing anything but I feel as though if I ask on a video it would come across a bit cringe as a lot of the people I watch will get on begging for views and subs and likes and it’s just Uncomfortable to watch in my opinion, But curious what Would give you the money right impression mate is it something I did or something you saw? As long as the beer budget doesn’t get touched, everything will be just fine 👊🏻😁
@@bigstackD good to know. And what made me think that? I’m not sure I should say, but it was a far off guess. I was trying to figure out why you suddenly started doing melting at night since in the past you always stopped melting when it got dark, my best guess was that something new started eating up your time during the day, I’m gonna stop there but am I getting close? 👀
Actually, nothing has really changed but we are a month into winter and the sun comes down and it’s pitch black normally about 6pm so that’s why I’ve been doing a lot more night melts. Normally during the day I’ll do property stuff kids stuff family stuff and as I’m still working that’s always taking up most of the time so that’s why 90% of my melts will be done in the afternoon that way I can enjoy a few beers with it as well, but you’ll definitely see a lot more night melts over the next few months as that’s just how it is over here it gets that dark so quick it’s crazy👊🏻😁.
"Howdy" from Texas USA (I never really use that "Howdy" word, but I it's iconic and now you have a mental image... ). I really enjoy your videos and your creative editing. Truly the only channel I never miss. I'm sure everyone who watches is like me in that we appreciate your commitment to releasing a new vid every week. My favorite melt metal is nordic gold simply because of the color when it is a good melt. I like copper second because when it is pure and up to temp, it pours so well and freezes in cool patterns. But to be honest, besides your witty ideas, I enjoy breakdowns most of all. I have the same approach to taking shit apart... if I can't do it with the correct tools, I fall back to more persuasive (bigger) tools but I am never defeated... it will always get deconstructed! Cheers from the other side of the world.
Great melt! I like the color of the gas that comes off an email to Copper. I like the individual fingerprints when they cool, like the glass like finish of the aluminum. I like the slag in the process of the brass. The reason you saw only one plane today was they are done stocking, the wilds with the drop bears. The crows are friends and they’ll bring you stuff. I like the different way you stripped, and do things! Did I see the fifth element stones? Dogs looked chipper today! You work your dirty little stripper hard today! Thanks for the video
That was a lot of copper! I love any metal melt but especially when it's really dirty and crusty at first, like out of the ground, with dirt and mud, things that other people would send to the dump and that gets turned into beautiful metal.
I would have to say that one, he speaks. Man of few words but when he speaks he speaks. Two, my favorite metal to see melted has to be copper. I love the green flame that copper puts out and the finished product often ( to me at least) has a rustic look that you can’t take your eyes off from. Hope you are doing well. Cheers from Las Vegas, Nevada USA.
Nordic Gold has always been my favorite thing you make. its so SHINEY. Now just record an hour long video of rain pouring down on that metal roof. that sound is so relaxing.
Favorite? Copper. Enjoy it more with my OOD. It’s cool watching you extract it from various parts. Stripping from various metals. Seems to take the melting process pretty evenly. It cleans out good before pouring and is extremely cool watching it solidify in the mold. It also buffs out good and shiny. COPPER!
I love watching the copper freeze after you pour it, but I love the pouring of aluminium. The surface tension is like water or mercury, and just looks so satisfying. Especially when you make the ingot as big as possible in the molds.
That is clean. it should be brought back to life instead of melting. I know that You can lots of those comments treat loosly but this one is reaally accurate. sorrry for a good welder machine . RIP

@@bigstackD that’s awesome man, you keep doing you
All good mate 👊🏻😁
7:10 Lunch is looking pretty good! I always have room for a meal like that. Love me a good Full Aussie Breakfast. It's literally FABulous! 😋
first!
For every like this comment gets I will do 0.05 situps
Your up to six and don't cheat!
0.95 sit-ups almost a full one
Bro at one push up and 40% of a second
Keep it a nonmultiple of 20. I want to see this
3.5 situps now
Awesome video nice copper bar's and aluminum and brass bar's thanks for sharing bigstackd
Okay, let's melt!! Another voice over 😊
Nordic Gold!! Copper as well. The birds are really entertaining too
That was a lot of copper! I love any metal melt but especially when it's really dirty and crusty at first, like out of the ground, with dirt and mud, things that other people would send to the dump and that gets turned into beautiful metal.
These are my favorite videos! Finding random crap, stripping it down and enjoying all that copper pouring
Very relaxing to watch.
I like it when you make Nordic Gold. A big Hello from Ohio USA. Keep up the good work, I love watching your videos.
Favourite melts have always been the alloys. Always a fan of seeing outcomes of strange mixtures.
I dont care what you melt big man , you just keep doing it🤣 Aluminum is always a fun one though. I just miss the ice cubes🥲🤣.
Youre the man!
I could watch you melt copper all day! Copper and Tungsten are my two favorite metals.
Great video brother from the imperial county California 👍🇺🇲
Fav Metals: Copper, Brass & Bronze.
Looks better when polished too!
Nordic Gold has always been my favorite thing you make. its so SHINEY. Now just record an hour long video of rain pouring down on that metal roof. that sound is so relaxing.
My goodness.. those shots of the burst egg yolk on the toast.. that looked delicious!
Favorite?
I like the copper best it makes a beautiful blue-green flame... mostly🎉🎉🎉
Copper and zinc!. Great how you snuck in a few words at minute 32.
That is clean. it should be brought back to life instead of melting. I know that You can lots of those comments treat loosly but this one is reaally accurate. sorrry for a good welder machine .
RIP
One of the best videos in a long time, copper is my favorite, and your videos help relax me thx
