For me, 37mm is the perfect Royal Oak, as long as you don’t have huge wrists. You get everything the bigger watch gives you but in a much more subtle and wearable package. Almost has a bit of a Cartier Santos feel to it. I can’t seem to take mine off. The most important thing is to embrace and learn to love the scratches. If you can’t do that, it’s not the watch for you.
Congrats. I wonder how you’ve managed to get these fine timepieces at the boutiques? I know your channel isn’t about this, but I’d love some real and practical advice on how to go about obtaining these at retail without prior buying history. I’m trying to get into the brand but my boutique won’t give me the time of day. I’m not blaming them necessarily, the boutique is in NYC so I know I’m competing against the Wall Street crowd with dollars to burn. I gave the consultant my wish list of two Royal Oaks one for me one for the lady and while he’s super friendly, I honestly know those orders may never come.
I own the blue 15500 and ordered the blue 15450 for my wife as a surprise. I hope not have to wait for more than a year, but we'll see. It's an amazing watch. Really stunning! I compared it with many others but nothing comes near!

Thank you 🙏 it is addictive and my bank account is telling me to slowdown 😂 the chrono 38 white dial blue sub dials is such a perfect fit and really a good looking watch, even the rose gold with the cream dial, however, in the past people had complained about the caliber 2385 which is based on the Frédéric Piguet 1185. Do not let that stop you but worthwhile investigating more I could be mixing up the references 😆

It's very similar to the 15500st but obviously size difference and in this case the dial colour difference. With the money spent, I would have purchased something else. Maybe a patek phillipe or an independent brand. A bit of diversity to the collection. But that is just me, each to their own. At the end of the day buy what you like. Great video again. Thank you.

My grail is the 15450 in two-tone stainless steel & 18K rose gold. Has the white dial. Omg so beautiful. I have to have one but $36,000 is going to take some time to assemble, since I just got another Rolex! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Hi Ridah, your video inspired me to pick up the grey 15450, it’s a hidden gem. I just wanted to check if you ended up getting the extra link? I have a 6.75inch wrist with span of 55mm. It feels snug at the moment in warm temperatures here in the U.K. so not sure the wrist will expand any further.
Hi Raj, congratulations 🎉 15450 is indeed a hidden gem, any dial colour is nice. Yes, I did get the extra link, it’s called (one and half link) in UAE it’s about US$443. They’ve taken one of the original links out and replaced it with the 1&1/2 link, perfect fit with a little room for the hot days.
Watching this again 3 years later man and it seems it didn’t age well 😂 Visiting AP House next week and I’m very curious to see these watches with my own eyes and hopefully try something on the wrist.

they remain great pieces, but are so fragile at the same time, while the design remains iconic, I genuinely don't understand the current hype, been around long enough to remember them MSRP for well below 20k with a discount on top great steel bracelet dress watch, but the sports aspect is long gone, as they are neither functionally water-resistant nor do they survive daily wear and tear well
First, I've gotta say, there's nothing like a blue dial. My absolute favorite. Secondly, though I love the aesthetics of the AP, "RO," my opinions of the model, mirror your own. Almost to a "T," I would say. Watching this production from last April, I have to wonder, what happened, to cause such a shift in opinion for you, about the model....the brand, ect?? R U sure that 37 mm is for man too. My dealer said that even though that 37 mm dial bigger than Rolex 36 mm in DayDate, yet the bracelet in 37 AP RO is too smal for man.
If your wrist size is 6.5 or 6.75 you should be good! Otherwise add a link, going with a arey dial may even the whole look. So yes it is a size for both men and women.
