Can someone say on which aspects Thrissur is the cultural capital of Kerala, only based on Trissur Pooram? and now Thrissur town is full of trashes and smells bad everywhere. I strongly recommend Palakkad ahead of Thrissur where you can see one of the largest rain forest in India which is called Silent Valley National Park, it is such a pristine jungle. Also, you can take a ride towards a hilly area called " Nelliyampathy" , visit few villages and experience the serene nature. You will be disappointed if your focus in only on cities or towns in Kerala or anywhere in India.
