i had this car for 8 long years .. the comfort, reliability and built quality was the main features of this car .. miss it .. !
Great point highlighted by Sunil Sb - this car was the starting of the perception (correct at the time) that Civic is not meant poor roads !

Really.
Dear Suneel saahib, thank you for your enlightening videos. We learn a lot from you by the day. Since I have owned the 2005 VTi Oriel of this version, allow me to offer my amateur opinion:
(1) My friend in metallurgy measured it’s metal thickness with vernier callipers. He compared it with his 2005 Corolla XLi. Honda had a thicker sheet. Similarly his Corolla’s suspension had to repaired before my Civic’s, as I ended up selling it (to buy a Reborn) without any work ever being needed on the suspension.
(2) The best consumption figures are obtained at driving @2500 rpm or so. I used to drive on M2 at that rate and it gave me ~16 km/litre without air-conditioning & ~15 km/litre with the air-conditioner on. Try it. (My friend’s XLi never went beyond 13 km/litre under similar conditions.
(3) The word is Prosmatec (which stands for “progressive shift schedule management technology”) and it is pronounced PROZ MA TECH not proz matic.

I am using this car from last 4 years. This car is giving me 10km to 11km in the city and 14km to 15km on long route till 130kmh speed. Your average calculation is wrong.

I sold this model of civic around the time this video was posted for 11.5 lacs. We bought it brand new in 2004, VTI Prosmatic. The major problems I faced were with its radiator (cleaned it twice, replaced it the third time), ac compressor, transmission (115000km) and it’s steering rack.
A little correction Sunil Bhai, the crystal lights and beige interior upgrade came in 2003..

This is totally not a budget car. Such vehicles require extra care and spare parts ain't cheap. This is Pakistan. You have to deal with these things in exchange for pleasure. These alloy wheels came from 2003 genius. Back crystal lights came in 2003. Front lights were changed in 2004. EXI too came with a CD changer. There is no weird suspension noise with this model and ground clearance of this car is fine being a Civic. Civics do have a lower ground clearance compared to Corolla. That is why road grip is better compared to a Corolla. Corolla on the other hand is a rough and tough car but lacks comfort and handling. People follow such reviewers blindly because they themselves lack knowledge.
I can't find a review about honda city exi 2001-2004 model. Please help to review that car as well.

I'm brazilian. I've had a Civic of this model (Year 2004). Differentiated maintenance car, not any mechanic who can work on this engine. Spare parts are a bit expensive, because parallel parts are not quality.
My car is v economic it give upto 11 in local and in long drive upto 15 17 km/L

In 2004 when biedge interior was introduced..the car also got faceuplift..it was not faceuplifted in 2005. The generation continued till 2006 same when in 2006 new generation was launch..civic reborn
