I am a mother of a son like Kao and it really makes me so sad to find out very late that my son is so unhappy with his life and cannot tell me openly about his gender preference because he was afraid that I would be disappointed with him. My love for my son is so strong that I don't care about his gender preference, I will accept him no matter what. I can relate to Kao's mother. I cried a lot on the mother-son scene because I remember when my son open-up to me and we both cried a lot.

Not me, I find her annoying as hell. The whole time I couldn't make up my mind whether I wanted to hug and protect her or shake her really hard to be more confident and proactive towards protecting her son. I mean she basically sat back and waited for things to "work themselves out" rather than take the initiative to support her son even though she was fully aware that he was struggling.... I mean ..parents shouldn't just sit back and wait, when they know their children are having issues...They should always extend their full arm of support so that the children are clear that they are supported....no matter what.

It always makes me sad that when the gay characters come out to their parents, they always apologize for being gay. But I'm happy that many of the parent characters tell their child that they should never be sorry for being gay. Kao and his mom's talk, that was such a great moment. Kao's attempted message to Pete trying to tell him he missed him was too sad. Kao is a great guy BUT his character is too passive and nice at times. He should've been honest with Pete, he should've shut Non down early on and none of this would've happened.Mork grew so much as the series progressed and Rain gave his brother such great advice. I want to drop kick Non off a building, he's such a horrible character with no redeeming qualities that I can see. I mean sure, his dad's an ass, but he could make better choices, he's not stupid just entitled.

This was one of the hardest things to watch for me seeing kao suffer like this... Pete may have came off as being jealous or super overprotective but he was right from the very start about Non he saw right through him.. knowing this only makes it hurt more 😣😖😓😫

i get it. But here are things to consider. That little shit did a good acting job. Pete is hot tempered. Kao is too nice and that little manipulating son of a ....manipulated things to his favor holding Kaos mothers job and his fathers position in his hands. Kao shouldn't have lied, sure. But Pee also should have understood Kao's position. "I hate him, i hate that you tutor him. I hate that he has this much power over you. But if it has to be this way, then whenever you tutor him, I'm there drinking coffee at the next table. IF he calls you to pick him up cause he's drunk, I'm driving the car."
Kao needs to work on his speaking skill. He got the most annoying and unconvincing way to explain things. In fact he doesn't explain anything. He just sit there and get hit with accusations like a punching bags. He didn't even put up any basic defense, not even "I didn't do it"

I'm more angry reading people in the comments wanting parents like Kao's mom TT I'm so sorry for all of you, how I want everyone to have parents like this. I hope you find happiness in life and love always. How can parents can't love their children because who they love? that's not our business. Our business as parents is to care for them, love them, not living their life or care about who they sleep with or love. AS a mother myself it breaks my heart so much. I love my child more than anything, that's more important.
