I have not altered a book yet but I have been wanting too. Now I know how to begin! Thanks so much for sharing Denise!! Your tips and tricks and tutorials are always so helpful! :)
Thank you for the discussion on printing. I sometimes have trouble with the colors, gonna have to play with those settings too. Glad to see you're feeling better.
Always the consummate instructor = thank you so much my friend. I struggled at first when completely gutting a book, now I am going to struggle again with altering a book but it will be so worth the effort when done. Thanks again.
I'm right there with you on altering books and downloads, thank you for the gluing the pages with a glue stick. I have always used a Matt gel and always making a mess. The glue stick will make it much nicer.
This is great info on altering a book, thanks very much. I'm planning on doing this ( when I have time 😃 ). Your tips on settings for printing is really Great to know, my printer is pretty much the same as your, thanks for sharing Cheryl. Hope you get over your flu/cold soon. ☺️
Thank you, thank you, thank you... I am a very visual person and you really help me see how simple this could be. Have the book now will try to do what you did. Also would love to see how you do this book

I have used and still use double stick tape instead of a glue stick to hold pages together and I have found planners and address books that I have forgotten about that I have been having fun altering using old business cards and what ever else that I have forgotten about while doing some cleaning...
Thank you once more for your tips! I have that download and had trouble with the darker pages, didn't come out good at all. I also have an HP Injet and tomorrow will try your suggestions! Yay............Sharon
The UHU glue sticks are my favs and I haven't been able to find them at any of the places I used to get them. I'm going to try Staples here in the states. Thanks Cheryl. XO, Shell
Great tutorial! I've done this w/ composition books. I'm glad you're able to buy UHU glue sticks locally. They are no longer available in our stores in the Orlando area in FL. I've read other people in other areas complaining about the same thing. I have to order mine in sets of 6 on EBay or Amazon. Bummer. Tere
Thank you so much for this about the printers and papers...I have an Epson WF-3640 and I do not like the colors I get printing...I am probably going back to HP...but I will check RRP Co to see if it is me...thanks again! Sandy

there is a UHC glue stick that is purple for that exact reason you mentioned (it dries purple though which sorta is a pooper). Ithink this is the only time I am glad that I live in the concrete jungle (cuz I just dont have any selection of craft stores here besides...well, randomly hidden Michael's I'm slowly discovering) because here I can get giant UHC glue in a pack of 3 for $3 at the dollar store...first time for everything. Super helpful tut as always btw. (y)
Hi Cheryl I hope all is well. I was try to find the video where you made a book and kept it for yourself to put notes in. Or to write down things you might want to do. Can you tell me which video that is and how to find it. Thank you so much.
You can, but over time, and I don't mean a year or so, the photo will break down. If you want to use a photo, then I recommend using an acid free glue. Also, if you mount the photo on acid free paper, and then add it to your book, it will last longer.
I have not altered a book yet but I have been wanting too. Now I know how to begin! Thanks so much for sharing Denise!! Your tips and tricks and tutorials are always so helpful! :)

Am i correct that you CAN NOT put pictures on tea dyed/coffee dyed paper? Live your videos. Thank you kindly.
You can, but over time, and I don't mean a year or so, the photo will break down. If you want to use a photo, then I recommend using an acid free glue. Also, if you mount the photo on acid free paper, and then add it to your book, it will last longer.
