I think this is from 1990, there are other cab ride videos from the network around that same time with this driver. Merseyrail also got rid of the BR livery in 1994.
Yes, including Hunts Cross to Southport and Central to Ormskirk. They don’t have the voiceover narration though and the conversation between the recorder and the driver and second man are factual and interesting.
Look at the state of the track at New Brighton, full of ltter, the track is like that everytime I get off at that station. Railway lines are some of the worst places for litter. Where are the council picking it up?.
Because its not the councils property the litter is on. The station and track is owned by Network Rail and it is their responsibility for litter clearance.
Great video; very interesting, thanks for posting.

Well spotted. My mistake, actually states 18th September 1990 at the beginning of the clip

New Kirby? Its West Kirby.
Just looks weird now going straight from Birkenhead Park to Hamilton Square
I was thinking the same because am used to seeing Conway Park between them and that opened in 1998 but feels like its always been there now.
@@leslie.3744 yeah I go over to Liverpool like 5 days per week for work so see it every day. Really through me off seeing it not there
Re signalled 1994
