Only 4airports(Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore & Hyderabad) can handle A380 Others either don't have infrastructure or long runways First plan Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kochi & Kolkata to handle A380
More than handling the aircraft, a large number of ground staff is required to handle 800 passengers suddenly coming to board or after the flight lands.
I dont know what you are smoking, but stop spreading false information. I know for a fact that Air India is NOT considering A380s!! Air India corporate employee!!
for one India's premier full service carrier Air India will not operate the A380-800 on its domestic services . . . the airline will only operate A380-800 (if any) on long haul international services . . . expect the A380-800 cabin configured to seat anywhere between 446 paxs - 463 paxs in typical 3-class layout . . . new long haul routes not served earlier until now, Delhi (DEL) - Sydney (SYD) & Mumbai (BOM) - Perth (PER) non-stop . . . or Hyderabad (HYD) - San Francisco (SFO) via Seoul (INC) . . .
All this is good to hear, but indians who wants to travel to their home state from Australia are at the mercy of Singapore who rips people with their fares then comes Malaysian, Qantas etc.. Where is the New Tata owned AIR INDIA? Shockingly disappointing. This situation applies to Indians settled in US and Europe.
Sir if only buying a380 is the solution then Indian airlines do it before 2019 . Problem is the airport's runway in India are not longer to takeoff or landings a380 this is also a big problem another one is taxi bay and gets are not wider for a380. Only few airport's in India to capable operate a380 such as Delhi, Mumbai, Haydrabad , Bangalore airport are capable to operate a380 but others airport are not capable to handle a380. If you talk Boeing 747 then almost all popular international airport in india are capable to handel Boeing 747.
As long as major population can't afford to travel on plane nothing going to happen. We have sufficient crop to feed population but less money earning jobs and not rich enough
Yeah... not happening. There are a number of very good reasons about why the A380 will not fly in India. The reasons for this are very simple: 1. There are, as you said, only four A380-capable airports in India. As a result, any A380 flights would have to be between these routes only. Of these, only the Delhi-Mumbai, Delhi-Bangalore, and Mumbai-Bangalore routes, and possibly the Delhi-Hyderabad route, would benefit from any A380 flights. That simply isn't enough of a scale to justify maintaining and operating such a large aircraft. 2. A380 operations, even at airports that can handle the A380, have the potential to lead to some form of disruption for other flight operations. This would be a massive turn-down for Indian carriers as a whole. 3. Air India already has a massive modernisation program in place that includes neither the A380 nor the Boeing 747-400. In fact, the last four Boeing 747-400s in India (ex-Air India aircraft) were de-registered last year, and are now on their last journeys. Please stop spreading false information.
Air India is on the downward slope in terms of performance. In flight service ? Practically non existent! The young cabin attendants are crude unrefined mannequins or wind up dolls whose interaction is akin to a guest entering a wrong house. Food is inedible but most importantly all sorts of creatures inhabit the cabin and it doesn’t matter which class you fly in. It’s a long road to Tipperary and A380s or large pax aircraft means even further decline in its service. Maintenance is another area of great concern as flight delays, poor on time performance and some mishaps in aircraft performance show that the man at the helm is learning to run a large fleet after his stints in Kiwiland and Singapore. TATAS need to get more involved as merging 4 airlines into a system as well as offering differentiated products is not easily done. Plus you have the usual entrenched unions and militant crews that’s the norm there. Good luck to Air India! 50 years after being a nationalized airline things are tough to be among top 10 airlines in the world!
A dream to see an indian a380 for real since in the begining kingfisher had ordered a380 but went bankrupt befor keting them
Whatever Air India considers A380 or not, the production line was dismantled by Airbus, so all you said is false!
They can get one from a storage or another airline
Airbus has confirmed they can restart. Production with enough order
@@mickeul16 what u said was false
@@A350Duck nope, Airbus has converted A380 prod line to A321 line
@@mickeul16 I know the A380 isn’t being made anymore but you can still buy them from other airlines or storage

OK this sounds good but in search of gold (A380) we lost diamond (747) Maybe atleast bring back the 747 to solve this problem 😢
Indeed 747s are gold but now they're too old to operate
They r satisfied with their a350
