The Bromsgrove Derailment | Jakeso

  • Today we discuss The Bromsgrove Derailment which occured in March 2020 following the announcement of the Covid-19 Pandemic and the National Lockdown which was going to apply the next day, which indirectly resulted in a DB Cargo Class 66 colliding with a buffer stop in a siding which lead to a derailment and a collision with a Cross Country Class 170.
    We look at the causes and the concequences of this incident.

    The freight train driver should have immediately made a GMSR REC call before getting out of his cab to investigate the damage.

      We were told hitting red on GSMR puts signals back to red , may have slowed Class 170.if seen signal go back to danger

    If you think about it he was technically using his phone while driving/in charge of a motor vehicle and a class 66 is technically a motor vehicle

    Are you doing video about incident at Loversall Carr Junction, Doncaster, 5 July 2022 when 4E11 ran into rear of 4E82 , think it would be interesting one

      It wasnt derailed but was damaged and is now on EMR
