The person performing the oxyacetylene, MMA, brazing, and bronze welding etc is Roy Sandy, he was my welding instructor in the 1980's and i remember those welding bays with very fond memories, where i was taught great skills, very sadly the college was demolished for a housing project.
(years later) This is really top class! The intellectual level is higher than we're used to for trades instruction, there are lots of open-ended questions. This would be really good to show a class, if they could get over their amusement.... I was especially glad to see "bronze welding" being done with some expertise. By someone wearing a tie! I had a hard time understanding the difference between brazing and bronze-welding, but it's very clear in the film here, it seems to go quickly just as they always say it will. I'm going to watch this a few times.
