- Kansas City Power & Light (KCP&L) crews finish a cable replacement project at the Meritex Caves in surburban Kansas City. In Part 5 (5 of 5) the crew adds jumpers and closes the switches to energize the line, bringing power from above ground to 80 feet under in the Meritex Caves, using new and larger cable to meet increased electrical demand.
I love these videos because I was hurt and can't do this work any more, and I really miss it.
First time I’ve seen proper cover up in your videos.
My favorite job
Badass job. I work at PG&E here in CA. I’m next in line to catch a apprentice lineman bid. Can’t wait. Any advice?
I wonder how long those cold shrink termination last, coz here in Indonesia, we have several cold shrink termination failures
Power Distributionall types of terminations fail.
Nice video n work
great video!
What? Installing the cold shrink tube, leaving a good 5-6” exposed insulation, and taping it? So wrong!
That work sucks. It's the money that makes the guys smile.
