Hello Bliss Music Academy ! Nightwish fan here, your musical quest summoned me. Welcome to the world of symphonic metal! And thank you for checking this legendary band! This live recording is from Buenos Aires in December 2012, together with Floor Jansen [pronounced Yansen], the 3rd and present female singer of the band, in front of an wild Argentinian audience. At that time Floor had been in Nightwish for only 2 and a half months, joining the band as an emergency replacement in the middle of a world tour, when the previous singer could no longer perform for health reasons. About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners. Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the [updated] short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory): " Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen [pronounced Tuo-mas], the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. [Sami Vanska was the bassist of the band starting with their 2nd studio album, he was with them until 2001. Then Marco Hietala was bassist and vocals, since 2001 to 2020. He recently announced his retirement both from the band and the public life for the next year at least. Then in May 2021 Jukka Koskinen [pronounced Yukka] became the bassist of the band, for the Human :II: Nature tour - and recently, the band announced he became a permanent member] And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen [he also recorded the bass lines for their 1st studio album]. Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen [pronounced Yukka] is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition. Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen [pronounced Tarr-ya] (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just heard her. There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit, Decades live (Floor). I hope this helps. I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. lol " For an extended set of suggestion (with links), I posted 2 huge comments in the community tab in my main YT channel (I notice that the links are blocked here, so you will have to look for them yourself, if you are interested) 🤘
GLS is a great song, but the version from their set at Wacken 2013 was on another level. In fact the whole of Nightwish's performance at Wacken 2013 has gone down in history as one of the greatest live performances - of any genre - of all time. This is a journey that will swallow you whole - and you will love it!
Floor was with the band only about two or three months at this time. You should check out the Wacken 2013 performance when she is more attuned and relaxed singing this!
Floors voice is better in this version. The version from Wacken 2013 has better camera shots but here ‘the note’ is much more impactful. Watching Empus face tells the story…
I still get chills watching this version when the crowd starts chanting " Floor Floor Floor" at the end. Pretty safe to say the fans approved of the new singer!
Nightwish is a band like no other. in this video, Tuomas Holopainen on keys is the maestro, a hugely gifted composer who has created so many masterpieces and Ghost Love Score is at the pinnacle. Jukka on drums was always full of energy and a real showman. Guitarist Emppu is like the glue of the band, so funny on stage and really gifted guitarist that always serves the song first - always great tone. Marko on bass was a powerhouse and one of my all-time favourite musicians. And Floor, she has a voice that could heal the most broken soul.. a once in a lifetime voice that always hits the deepest part of me. They are a gift to the universe.
I´m glad you found Nightwish. It´s nice to watch a person who understands what is happening in NW music. Well com on the path to fine music with us. Greets from Finland. Take care.
@@dianabryson5264 I am very proud and wait for their new album and hopeful tour. And hope Floor is coming back after having her second child last year.😍
Some will say the iconic Nightwish Wacken 2013 concert is the best Ghost Love Score, but that doesn't mean this one is a "wrong" choice. I always enjoy this as one of my favorite perFloormances of this song. I see all or most of the Wacken 2013 concert in your future anyway. So my suggestion for you is Dead Boy's Poem from Buenos Aires 2018. 🔥🤘🔥
@@kuinarorona8458 I think you're confusing this performance with the Buenos Aires performance during the Decades tour? They had to cancel at least one performance during that tour due to Floor being ill.
The audience surrendering to Floor with only a few weeks in the band... the video ends with the entire audience shouting FLOOR FLOOR FLOOR FLOOR!... Wacken's version is more spectacular, but this version has a beautiful magic, very intimate . And that ending with everyone singing the debut singer's name means a lot of what came next! a love that is hard to end... I was there, the song wasn't over and we were all already chanting his name... I think every Nightwish fan has a lot of respect for this song, even before Floor joined, and Watching Floor do it to the best of way posible was a godsend.
@@ArtMateurMusic awesome! The Buenos Aires concerts are so special to me because of the highly enthusiastic audience. The video of "I want my tears back" 2018 is one of my favorites because of the audience singing and dancing.
@@Cherlindrea99 Yes, I remember not having enough air to jump at the end of the song, they played all the classics, it was spectacular... and Floor with her outfit simply took over the entire scene.
Hello Bliss. I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here. She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have 2 daughters (Freja & Lucy) Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 3 octaves (C3 to F6). Re-singing style ranges from opera to screams and grunts. She usually sings in English, in addition she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish. Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she cool singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016. From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Nightwish's second studio album with Jansen as front singer, Human. :II: Nature., was released in April 2020. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Nightwish and the amazing Dutch queen of symphonic metal, Floor Jansen. You are obviously a woman who knows music and vocal quality. Hope to see you again very soon lovely lady.
Nightwiah Army Finland reporting. Very nice reaction, thank you! It's just Nightwish doing Nightwish things! And as you have surely noticed, although they are all outstanding , none of them standout. Nightwish is their own genre and no other band comes close to the level they are at. Enjoy your journey!
Loved your reaction and analysis. Floor has been the front-woman for metal bands for 27 years now, having joined her first band, After Forever, in 1997 at the age of 16. She is a self-proclaimed vocal nerd and has honed her natural talent meticulously over the course of her career. She has always had a powerful voice, but as she has matured as a vocalist the vocal styles and nuances that she uses to tell the story of each song have become more and more interesting, at least to me. She can sing anything from death growls to arias, and do it extremely well, but it is her emotional connection with the music, her bandmates, and with the fans that make her truly special. She is also one of the most humble and down to earth people you will ever meet. A beautiful person all around.
Hello Bliss Music Academy. I loved your reaction to our beloved Nightwish with our Valkyrie goddess, Floor Jansen (Yahn-sen), on lead vocals. I recommend that you read all of Gabriel Bardac's comment and follow the link he provides at the end. That will take you to his community page where he provides links to many more Nightwish live performances. Nightwish is even better live than on their impressive studio productions, mainly due to the way Floor commands the stage and the audience. Keep these Nightwish reactions coming.
@Bliss Music Academy: Honestly, I cannot wait to see you react to the Wacken 2013 performance of Ghost Love Score! Because if you can believe it, this is actually only the second time I'm aware of that Floor sings Ghost Love Score, and as a result, this performance sounds rougher than the Wacken 2013 performance. Floor, at the Wacken performance, sounds much more sure of herself, especially in the latter half of the song, as some notes sound off-key or not supported enough in this video from Buenos Aires in 2012. By Wacken 2013, Floor had sung Ghost Love Score many times, and made vocal improvements each time, resulting in Ghost Love Score at Wacken 2013 being the most reacted-to video on the internet. That being said, I highly encourage you to check out Floor singing Phantom of the Opera as well, both the Beste Zangers episode in 2019 (that video broke the internet in only 24 hours; "Beste Zangers" is Dutch for "Best Singers"), as well as the Nightwish performance of Phantom of the Opera in 2022, during their tour show at the Ziggodome in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Welcome to the world of Nightwish Symphonic Metal! Ghost Love Score Wacken 2013 is pure perfection! It doesn’t get any better! Enjoy the dive down the rabbit hole!🤘🎸
Believe it or not, this is the rougher version of GLS official live. This is due to Floor having only been with the band for 10 weeks after flying from her sister's wedding in Netherlands to meet up with the band in the U.S. when the previous singer took sick mid-tour. This is all documented in the video: "Please learn the setlist in 48 hours". Greetings from Michigan and welcome to the rabbit hole.
This is Nightwish's first video with Floor. She has only been with the band for a few weeks after they spontaneously separated from their second singer Anette Olzon during the ongoing tour. That's why here, like in Wacken, she's just a temporary helper. She had to fly from the Netherlands to the USA within 48 hours and memorize a set list that took 1.5 hours. The lyrics are all over the stage in case she forgets something. The audience's reaction shows how important this change was. She continued to fine-tune the details until Wacken. At the end of the following year she became an official member with the publication of the Wacken concert. The ending of the song no longer corresponds to the original and was changed by her. In general, she has adapted the singing to her abilities and interprets it differently than her predecessors. During the pandemic, Floor took a small singing course: Don't Stress Your Jaw - Vocal MasterClass #1 Aside from Gabriel's list, I recommend this song. Floor spontaneously said she couldn't sing it: NIGHTWISH - Shoemaker (Official Lyric Video)
Really happy you will continue with Nightwish 👍🤘 I will never get tired of listening to this song, it's quite amazing and when the reactor is as nice and enthusiastic as you are ....well could not be better. You will notice that Nightwish has no bad songs and they are quite different to one another and epic "as fudge" 😉 There are several awesome conserts but Wachen 2013 is a great way to start and also Floor Jansens first wourld tour with them since joining.
Great reaction, Bliss. I adore this band. 🙂 Floor is an enchantress, and the whole band is incredible .... they make me grin like a maniac one minute, then bring tears to my eyes the next. Keep up the Nightwish reactions, and I for one, as a new subscriber, will enjoy watching this journey of discovery.
🤩👍💥💯🎼 Now that you've seen and heard a tiny glimpse of what they are capable on stage I kindly urge you to explore more of this magical band. Neat reaction mi lady and keep on rockin with them! Cheers from Finland. 🤘😎 🇫🇮 💙
Great analisys! I was there and I can remember how magical was that moment in this song, I thought: this woman has to be the new singer! (She was a tour guest due the former singer left the band) As a big fan, Floor Jansen is the best thing that happended to Nigthwish. Cheers!
Hi dear reactor, always happy to see people finding Nightwish music. Tuomas Holopainen (keyboards) writes and composes this beaytiful symphonic metal music. He is our metal Mozart, our national treasure (yes I am from Finland). I have all their albums since 1996. I was at their live concert here in Finland, Vaasa city last June. And I tell you if you ever have a chance seeing them live go!
I wonder who writes the lyrics of their songs? Sheer poetry! I admire Tuomas Holopainen for his composing and all band members - including Floor - for their musicianship and artistry. Whoever wrote the lyrics deserves more recognition as part of the creative collective.
Welcome to the wonderful and endlessly varied world of Nightwish, where every song is different, and there isn't a bad song in the bunch. There is so much for you to discover ahead. This is a group of extremely talented musicians who play for the song. There is no ego involved. The result is a total that is greater than the sum of its parts. As time goes by, you will get to know each musician better, and to appreciate what each contributes to what is in my opinion one of the greatest bands in the world.
Sargant Emma from the Las Vegas chapter of NIGHTWISH ARMY, checking in. Love your reaction and your knowledge of composition. Follow General Gabriel's list and you cannot go wrong. ❤ Btw... you should check out the Wacken 2013 version, (that whole concert actually 😘); because she was still fairly "new member/singer" in this version, so still a bit "nervous". In the Wacken version, she's more "relaxed and self confident". She still performs BEAUTIFULLY though ❤ Looking forward to your NIGHTWISH journey. WELCOME 🥰 // Emma , signing off....for now. 😋 Ps...The keyboardist, Tuomas, is lovingly called "Metal Mozart". He is AMAZING!!❤❤❤
the North German Division of the Nightwish Army reports !! We are there. The Bande Vocals : Floor Jansen Bass,Vocals : Marco Hietala Guitar : Emppu Vuorinen Keyboards,Songwriting. : Tuomas Holopainen Uilleann Pipes : Troy Donockley Drums :1-Jukka Nevalainen until 2013 /and then 2-Kai Hahto.
If you want to see the progression of Floor in about half a year since this performance, check out the Wacken 2013 performance. Maybe not to review. But I find the subtle differences with this one most intriguing, making the Wacken version my favourite for this song.
I know people are saying Wacken 2013, but if that one is the best, then this one is a very close 2nd. Both versions are excellent. Oh, Floor does a very good version of O Mio Babbino Caro which is worth listening to.
Best band ever! Check the 2013 Wacken concert, for me its one of the top 5 concerts of all time! The did a DVD from this concert called "Showtime, Storytime". And please make a reaction on their song "The greatest Show on Earth" - a more than 20 minutes long piece of art! Eventually do some research about the meaning of the track before.
Nightwish Army, Oregon Medical Tent, reporting in. Tho very good, this is far from their most polished performance. Floor had been with the band only 3 months or so at this recording date. I might advise a quick peek at the 2013 Wacken performance for this song, and many others. That 2013 recording Wacken recording is simply amazing, especially considering the venue size and challenges on such a large stage. AND, Floor had progressed well in her confidence with the songs by then. 3 months vs 10 months. You can see what hard workers they all are.
Hello, Diane Nightwish Army US Division here. I`ve been obsessed with Nightwish for over 15 years. Check out their concert at Hellfest in 2022 also for their new material from Human Nature. Floor is a powerhouse in every thing she sings.
A warm welcome to the magical, mesmerising, musical magicians of Nightwish. Enjoy your journey into symphonic metal. There is a lot to explore. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 🤘🫡
Nightwish Shadow Unit from Estonia reporting in ! 6'1'' Dutch Valkyrie Goddess spotted ! Gabriel Bardac entered ! This is called Symphonic Metal !!! Floor her name is derived from the Roman Goddess of Spring, Flora. Floor Jansen is called the Valkyrie Goddess of Metal and Empathy. Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6). She can sing from classical to belting and raspy vocals like screaming and death growls. And she's also a voice coach and teacher to boot. Plus, huge vocal nerd 😉. Floor Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg, where she graduated in 2003. She studied musical theatre and a year of opera. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016. From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon (Second singer of Nightwish after Tarja) as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour (And she had to learn the setlist in 48h). And the master of this magic is: Our Metal Mozart Tuomas Holopainen (founder, leader, keyboardist, songwriter and the main composer for Nightwish) Tuomas the keyboardist writes about 95% of Nightwish songs, music and lyrics. He also composes the music for the backing track they use. It is recorded in London with musicians from The London Philharmonics. Pip Williams helps with the orchestration. There are two London based choirs too on the backing track, the other one is a children's choir. And of course with a synth you can do a lot. We hope, that there is more coming. NWSU/FloorFan 🤘😎🤘.
To see the progression of Floor's take on the song, have a quiet look at any of the songs from Waken 2013, Ghost River, Storytime, Romanticide, and even GLS.... as Floor becomes more comfortable with her place in the band - you can see the adaptions she makes. Phenomenal progress with songs she is interpreting from previous vocalists. Man she has pipes!
Some people/fan's will tell you ,that the "Wacken 2013"is "better" but,Floor started +/- 2months before this as a replacement singer,so if you imagen that, plus the fact that she changed some things in this song,it's just exceptionel how she pulled this off. Wacken 2013 is also exceptionel in the sence that that whole concert was perfection but this performance was her, showing us what we could expect in the future of Nightwish with floor.🤘
Be happy you saw this version first. There is a rawness in this version that cannot be equaled or duplicated. The Wacken version is much more polished and clean. You'll enjoy and appreciate both now that you've seen this one first.
The juxtaposition of her insane range and presence and this bands hard hitting insane talent is incredible Absolutely kickass. Jukka in Beast Mode on the drum kit…Everyone performing at the very highest level….as usual🤘
I think this is the concert where floor was sick and she had a sore throat. She is still executing her singing very well, but compared to many other performances, specially the beginning of the song is more rough than usual. You will be amazed How she is a master of tones and using her voice. She is a story teller, and choosing her style of singing by the song and emotions she want to deliver. Many people has been witness how her singing is touching your heart 🙂
Oh no, hope you don't get roasted again for picking the "wrong version" :-D For me (having also started with this one), hearing the recording from Wacken didn't feel like a game changer, as many others might suggest. This one - to me - even has some better parts, like the "raspy part" or the "final note". Here it fades off at the end whereas at Wacken it just stops (only prolonged by the reverb of the mic) as if it's the end of her breath. But these are just some subjective comments. I like hearing both versions again and again and again ...
You would love watching Floor sing Phantom of the Opera with Henk Poort. He’s a Dutch opera and musicals singer. It’s on YT on a Dutch show called Beste Zangers.
Gotta love South American tradition of singing the guitar solos! OH and having your name chanted by the fans?!! Yeah that is an ego stroke! Last comment is that you as a coach made my day by sounding better than you look! Your blended accents were music to my ears. I guess some of that comes from 32 years in a university food service in USA just got me hooked on accents.
What Gabriel said! Nightwish Army, Blue Mountains Corps, Australia. Oh, those Latin-American crowds!..... ;) The heat!.... and not just physically at the venue! One of the few bands I have seen that are almost always better Live! since 1996.
Oh, great, the early Buenos Aires version! There are two earlier amateur recordings of this on YT, one in the USA and one in Costa Rica IIRC. As has been mentioned by others, Floor had only been with the band a couple of months as a temporary replacement. Despite this, she got the band to change the ending and she also changed a couple of words in the lyrics. Mistakes? On purpose? Who knows! In other news, the people who told you that Floor has a classical background are misinforming you. She was formally trained at the Rockacademie Tilburg (sorry, that's how we spell it in Dutch) which is of course not classical at all. However, she is on record as saying she did not get much from the vocal lessons there. But she was so impressed by a guest lecturer Edward Hoepelman that she took private lessons from him. Although he is himself classically trained, his only goal is to develop your voice in a natural way. After graduation she took additional short courses in classical singing and musical theatre. But this all does not support Floor having a classical background.
2:28 metal symphonic, good reaction, "Floor" is one of the metal queens with the most variety of vocal songs, I think there is no type of genre that she cannot sing. On this side of the Pond (metal), there are many talented artists, and there are many women, You'd be surprised to see floor sing the band before Nightiwsh, in fact here floor was very very new to the band Nightiwsh and was barely adapting, and how incredible she did
When Floor joined the band mid tour ten weeks earlier than this they were no longer performing this as written for first operatic singer, Tarja Turunen, who didn't use the variety of vocal styles and the second singer, Anette Olson was a pop singer who couldn't sing it properly at all. Floor asked to reintroduce it and added the ending . That's why the crowd chant "Floor" at the end. Wacken 2013 is considered to be one of the first great Nightwish concerts with Floor performing 14 songs to such a superb level although none written for her. There are also several solo covers by Floor to be found that are worth investigating. From O Mio Babbino Caro, Vilja Lied, Lady Gaga's Shallow, Euphoria, Into the Unknown etc.
This was the first time Floor introduced her famous ending to this song. But overall, she was with the band as a stand in, for only a few months. Wacken 2013 is a bit better, also in sound and imaging. By that time she knew she had the job of frontwoman of Nightwish.
Welcome to Nightwish and our 6'1 Dutch Valkyrie Godess Floor Jansen. I see that Gen Gabriel has visited you. Follow his suggestions on all things Nightwish and you can't go wrong. Nightwish Army North Florida Airborne Div reporting in. Enjoy the rabbit hole that is Nightwish.
Great reaction, as others have said, try the wacken 2013 version, much better production and more awesome before going on with your journey, it's a blast!

GREAT reaction, very interesting. BTW, that "note" may be just under 3 bars, but her breath lasts for a full 4 bars! And it's not head voice either. She's phenomenal.
Great reaction. Anyway, can i request your reaction to superb band from japan? The band is call "Lovebites" They all The Beautiful Queens Metal band right now in the earth. They are really really World class musicians. Phenomenal. And they have a lot die hard fans too. The song is "Judgement day" Hope you check out, and can enjoy it too. Big thanks🙏
Strongly suggest you follow Gabriels list, but if you want to knowmor of what Floor can sing, I suggest you look at her own YT channel and her performces in the dutch tv show 'beste zangers'. Look for 'Beaste zangers Floor Jansen. Enjoy!
hi Bliss, while ever NW performance is great this BA one Floor was only with the band for about 2months and the recording is not that great ,the one that has become a YT phenom is the Wacken 2013 Live ,then Floor had 10 months to perfect what has become a standard setting event, this is the one to experience : NIGHTWISH - Ghost Love Score (OFFICIAL LIVE) : Wacken 2013 Yt link ending in BAVo
Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the [updated] short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory):
" Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer.
So be prepared. lol "
For an extended set of suggestion (with links), I posted 2 huge comments in the community tab in my main YT channel (I notice that the links are blocked here, so you will have to look for them yourself, if you are interested)
🤘
Sir Gabriel, thanks again for leading us to these new reactors.
Always here to support you, general Gabriel! 😁🤘
hey Gabe 🐕
Gabriel. We salute you.
This one is great too! It is not as perfect in every detail, but in certain ways it captures the dynamic power of Floor's voice even better
@@rientsdijkstra4266 respectively, agree to disagree.
@@rientsdijkstra4266I agree, this one is fantastic too!
I concur!!

The Nordic Gods of Metal have arrived with their Valkyrie Queen 💥💥💥💥💥
Well com on the path to
fine music with us. Greets from Finland. Take care.
Best band ever, and as a Finn I am very proud of the band. Floor Jansen is one of the best singer ever. She is the heart of this band.
You should be proud I wish the band`s here in the US had half of the talent that Nightwish has.
@@dianabryson5264 I am very proud and wait for their new album and hopeful tour. And hope Floor is coming back after having her second child last year.😍
Floor has lungs of an deep see diver! Floor is an vocal nerd!
My favorite band of all time. NIghtwish with Floor Jansen on vocals is just soooo good.
Agreed. For me, there is a bit more energy and emotion in this version, particularly the seminal ending to the piece. Fantastic!
if i remember she was really sick at that show, and that's the reason why people don't recommend it as opposed to the wacken 2013 show.
AGREED!!!!
@@kuinarorona8458 I think you're confusing this performance with the Buenos Aires performance during the Decades tour? They had to cancel at least one performance during that tour due to Floor being ill.
The vocals is more prominent in the mix in this version which is better for vocal coaches I guess.
UK Army popping in for a great first reaction
Hello, beautiful reaction, I have the honor to welcome you on behalf of the Nightwish Army, greetings from Poland
So cool you were there! 🤘
@@Cherlindrea99 yes very special night, iam in live buenos aires 2018 too haha
@@ArtMateurMusic awesome! The Buenos Aires concerts are so special to me because of the highly enthusiastic audience. The video of "I want my tears back" 2018 is one of my favorites because of the audience singing and dancing.
@@Cherlindrea99
Yes, I remember not having enough air to jump at the end of the song, they played all the classics, it was spectacular... and Floor with her outfit simply took over the entire scene.
Hello Bliss.
I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here.
She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have 2 daughters (Freja & Lucy)
Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 3 octaves (C3 to F6).
Floor Jansen is a professional trained soprano!
Welcome to the wonderful world of Nightwish and the amazing Dutch queen of symphonic metal, Floor Jansen. You are obviously a woman who knows music and vocal quality. Hope to see you again very soon lovely lady.
FL❤❤R...
I'm amused when singers like yourself witness a true goddess of a singer and remain humble
Thank you for your reaction, I Love this band in many ways. Greetings from nwAse Sweden
excellent reaction, thanks from Colorado. you have beautiful voice. carry on
Best band in the world with the best singer. :)
The suspension. The whole audience is anticipating that final high note 🙂
How the crowd chantent at the end. Floor FLOOR Floor
Which was significant, because Floor (the 3rd singer) was new to band (10 weeks). By chanting "Floor" the audience welcomed her into the band.
🤗🍒🤘🏻😘 well done and welcome to the Nightwish Family
Welcome to the world of Nightwish Symphonic Metal! Ghost Love Score Wacken 2013 is pure perfection! It doesn’t get any better! Enjoy the dive down the rabbit hole!🤘🎸
Wacken 2013. The entire show is amazing. Best quality sound as well. Ever Dream! F5
Welcome to the magical world of Nightwish and Floor Jansen, The Goddess Voice of Heaven and Earth. Enjoy your journey.
More Nightwish please! Follow Gabriel’s list and you’ll be amazed by this band every song.
please dont tell reactors that to follow one persons "list" as they then tend to ignore everyone else's recommendations
During the pandemic, Floor took a small singing course:
Don't Stress Your Jaw - Vocal MasterClass #1
Aside from Gabriel's list, I recommend this song. Floor spontaneously said she couldn't sing it:
NIGHTWISH - Shoemaker (Official Lyric Video)
Really happy you will continue with Nightwish 👍🤘 I will never get tired of listening to this song, it's quite amazing and when the reactor is as nice and enthusiastic as you are ....well could not be better. You will notice that Nightwish has no bad songs and they are quite different to one another and epic "as fudge" 😉
There are several awesome conserts but Wachen 2013 is a great way to start and also Floor Jansens first wourld tour with them since joining.

Now that you've seen and heard a tiny glimpse of what they are capable on stage I kindly urge you to explore more of this magical band.
Neat reaction mi lady and keep on rockin with them!
Cheers from Finland.

Never get bored to this song. Great analysis.
I wonder who writes the lyrics of their songs? Sheer poetry! I admire Tuomas Holopainen for his composing and all band members - including Floor - for their musicianship and artistry. Whoever wrote the lyrics deserves more recognition as part of the creative collective.
Thanks, welcome to Nightwish, great reaction
she is such a versatile singer the wild highs and low ethereals great at keeping the crowd with them every step of the way stage presence
Btw... you should check out the Wacken 2013 version, (that whole concert actually 😘); because she was still fairly "new member/singer" in this version, so still a bit "nervous".
In the Wacken version, she's more "relaxed and self confident".
She still performs BEAUTIFULLY though ❤
Looking forward to your NIGHTWISH journey.
WELCOME 🥰
// Emma , signing off....for now. 😋
Ps...The keyboardist, Tuomas, is lovingly called "Metal Mozart".
He is AMAZING!!❤❤❤

Yóu have to rewatch this with the 2013 Wacken version. :)
If you want to see the progression of Floor in about half a year since this performance, check out the Wacken 2013 performance. Maybe not to review. But I find the subtle differences with this one most intriguing, making the Wacken version my favourite for this song.
A very competent reviewer, refreshing!
I know people are saying Wacken 2013, but if that one is the best, then this one is a very close 2nd. Both versions are excellent.
Oh, Floor does a very good version of O Mio Babbino Caro which is worth listening to.
Thanks for the video, and you’ all viewing, let’s throw Nightwish some love by purchasing / streaming their music.
You have just picked up the best video of this song
Hello, Diane Nightwish Army US Division here. I`ve been obsessed with Nightwish for over 15 years. Check out their concert at Hellfest in 2022 also for their new material from Human Nature. Floor is a powerhouse in every thing she sings.
Ghost Love Score from Buenos Aires 2018 and Tampere are both also awesome. ❤
And the master of this magic is:
Our Metal Mozart Tuomas Holopainen (founder, leader, keyboardist, songwriter and the main composer for Nightwish)
Tuomas the keyboardist writes about 95% of Nightwish songs, music and lyrics.
Good one. you will have to do Wacken 2013 now.
The juxtaposition of her insane range and presence and this bands hard hitting insane talent is incredible
Absolutely kickass. Jukka in Beast Mode on the drum kit…Everyone performing at the very highest level….as usual🤘
Wrong concert, but still an excellent performance. Greetings from Finland! ⛄👍
Many people has been witness how her singing is touching your heart 🙂
great reaction and welcome to the beautiful world of Nightwish! that said, please don't cut off our queen mid-belt in future reactions. ;)
the band is happy with her .
Welcome to the magical world of Nightwish!
Oh no, hope you don't get roasted again for picking the "wrong version" :-D
For me (having also started with this one), hearing the recording from Wacken didn't feel like a game changer, as many others might suggest.
Agree!
I guess some of that comes from 32 years in a university food service in USA just got me hooked on accents.
there is a far better and more impressive live version of this song even.... live at Wacken 2013
Welcome to the rabbit hole :)
