I am so glad that youtube recommended this video. Probably the best thing I have seen in years.
Superb tutorial Jason. Loved your playing at the beginning and that most excellent shirt. 👌
Thanks. 🎸
Nice shirt!
This is a great way to "talk guitar" and "play music"... helps me put some order on all the theory in my head. Thanks. Great stuff 👏...
Brilliant as usual. One of the finest guitar players and guitar teachers around today, without any doubt.
Thanks Joe!
Agreed! Jason is a real treasure.
Django all over the music. Gotta get my Western Swing shirt!
Side pick is really effective, also blunt corners, whatever. This is excellent teaching and super cool playing.
Sounds great! Beautiful cut away Gibson!
Desde Chile te agradezco tus clases aunque no entiendo mucho inglés tus demostraciones me han permitido entender y conocer mi instrumento soy jubilado ya
This really struck a CHORD with me!!! (pun intended). Brilliant lesson Jason keep up the great work, you are so clear and concise in delivering your ideas. Cheers Marty from Melbourne 🇦🇺

Amazing stuff! That bend is gonna turn some heads when I next get a chance to use it, such a fab sound.

Just discovered Jason and his fantastic tutorials. And.....is that an Emitt Rhodes album sitting on the amp in the background --?!!!
Thanks Tom and yes it is
I have a similar archtop. Mine is more of a Frankenstein version that been run through a garbage disposal but still very cool. Yours looks perfect. L series?
Intro was so cool that I woke up from my bed finally
A tip : watch movies at Kaldrostream. I've been using them for watching lots of of movies recently.
@Briggs Nixon yea, I've been using Kaldrostream for since november myself :D
@Briggs Nixon definitely, have been using kaldroStream for months myself :)
👍
Very clean. I’d like to here some Tritone substitutions leading into the 4. Give it some spice
Thanks but tritone subs aren’t really used in classic Western swing. Sometimes it’s what you don’t play. ;)
Are you staying on an A major scale over the 4 and 5 chords but targeting root, 3rd and fifth of each? Or are you playing over the major scale for each chord? Sort of hard to tell.
Major scale of A, but targeting chord tones of whichever chord he is playing (including some approach notes)
Yes Robbie is right. Staying on the A major scale but targeting chord tones
@@JasonLoughlinMusic flat wound strings??? Thank you.
