    This is a great way to "talk guitar" and "play music"... helps me put some order on all the theory in my head. Thanks. Great stuff 👏...

    Side pick is really effective, also blunt corners, whatever. This is excellent teaching and super cool playing.

    Very clean. I’d like to here some Tritone substitutions leading into the 4. Give it some spice

    • @JasonLoughlinMusic
      @JasonLoughlinMusic  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks but tritone subs aren’t really used in classic Western swing. Sometimes it’s what you don’t play. ;)

    Are you staying on an A major scale over the 4 and 5 chords but targeting root, 3rd and fifth of each? Or are you playing over the major scale for each chord? Sort of hard to tell.

    • @robbie7957
      @robbie7957 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Major scale of A, but targeting chord tones of whichever chord he is playing (including some approach notes)

    • @JasonLoughlinMusic
      @JasonLoughlinMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes Robbie is right. Staying on the A major scale but targeting chord tones
