To each their own. But I love my 1958. I thought I would hate the cloth seats, but I absolutely love them. This car has everything I need. And I like it
I wouldn’t say best. I was excited at first, but the material in it comes from an economic four-cylinder vehicle. Too bad It doesn’t have the best horn to take seriously getting out the way.😂 I love Toyota but the only thing that’s missing from this is the 1958 pricing which is best coming from this. You certainly did not get the best bang for the buck.
@@bwer2 Yeah, mine was less than that having more seats being a 4runner. Cant justify 50k on this small vehicle. But hey, to each his own!! Pay more for less cylinder’s and less seats with a few aftermarket gimmicks. Man they got the suckers fooled today. Ouch
Great review as always. Toyota did an outstanding job with this new Land Cruiser. The 1958 is nice, however, adding the LC Premium Package or First Edition are definitely worth consideration. Those packages will add significantly to the price, however, they certainly add to the driving dynamics and appearance.
This car has recently started to sale in Istanbul, Türkiye, but its price starts from 9,750,000 Turkish lira which is something like 286,000 US dollars.
Same in Iran, they have a 100% import tariff on vehicles so it’s minimum $116,000 without markups/bribes/other costs added yet you see plenty of them in Tehran.
It absolutely is for less after sitting in it. Just wait until you hear how the horn sounds like, it even sounds like it came from one that’s even less than that. It’s gonna look funky, with big wheels only to have a horn of a Prius😂 i’m a Toyota fan but I’m not gonna justify buying this for the price they want. They are smoking some serious stuff.
I just drove one as I wanted to see how I liked the hybrid. The 1958 felt so cheap. The 4cyl had power but sounded buzzy and cheap I hate to say. I then went and test drove a GX. Much better vehicle all around. Apple to oranges spec wise, but I’m leaning Lexus now.
You made the right choice I even drove it myself. I don’t know if you heard how the horn sounds like, but the horn even comes from a four-cylinder economy vehicle and I can’t understand how people are justifying these prices when they can’t even pay attention to the details of this cheap material in it being over priced. The only thing that’s missing that should be the most important is the 1958 pricing of this… but let The fools keep that going over their heads.🙈
This is absolutely what I am saying I didn’t even pay 40k for my runner. I even sat and drove this thing and it is not a 50K plus vehicle.🙈 it’s coming to a point where they are going back with quality and the price is going the opposite direction going up being conditioned on paying for an economic vehicle for 50k. People are smoking some serious stuff to justify these prices😂
I have 22 4runner. I tested the Landcruiser it drives a lot nicer a lot of power too. I've noticed 1958 are getting discounted now by a lot. You can get one for under 55k
I hope Toyota's ugly air dam gimmicks that let them put an one extra MPG on the Maroney sticker don't end up spreading to the rest of the industry. Sure, if you don't like it the air dam you can have it removed, but imagine if every car had an ugly air dam attached to it from the factory. Clad a car with ugly but functional removeable aerodynamic parts that nobody is asking for and put the onus on the buyer to remove them so the vehicle actually looks good and/or has adequate ground clearance.
I own one. It is a 45K vehicle. But everything is crazy expensive. Go price shopping. Maybe you can do better on Stellantis vehicles, Fords, etc.. But then you are getting crap cars that fall apart after 5 years.... Honda's are super expensive too so pick your poison
Im struggling to find something nice to say about this vehicle. Guess I will go with what momma says. "If you can't say something nice , dont say nothing at all" Im just not a fan. Wondering if they'll sell well ?
I think its because this vehicle breaks the common trend that most new cars have to be better and more expensive than their older counterparts. This is a new LC with nearly equal capabilities to the old LC for a far less expensive price, but that doesn't 'wow' people, it 'wow's their bank account with the money they saved. You're not supposed to like it more than the old one; it is better to not directly compare the two. The new LC is an intentional downgrade and an attempt to go back to basics, reflected by the almost $30,000 price reduction from the previous generation.
@@jordanimatedstreaming Costs are not the factor here. My opinion is not liking it. I just do not like it. I will never spend my money on something I dislike, no matter how cheap it is. It's fine for those who do like it. It is 100% not for me.
@@uhohmomo7685 Well to be clear, since you decided to @ me, I think most people's opinion about cars is worth listening to.
