  • Part 2 of the castle build series where I build the first of my Dungeons & Dragons castle walls. These are great war gaming castle walls for many different tabletop war games as well! Try doing this tabletop castle walls craft yourself! I would love to see what you can do.

      Thanks. Arrows are just straight pieces of paper clip with paper cut outs super glued to them

    So enjoying your builds.. and the trick of adding weight to the buildings seems so intuitive , now that I have seen YOU do it.. LOL .. ; ] but I have watched a boat load of these and NO ONE else does it.. not that I have seen anyway.. I love it!

      Thanks. I’ve seen others use coins, washers and screws for weights but I find this works well for me. Cheaper too!

    Dude.... this is flippin awesome !
    Alongside the tower it looks so good. What's next ? Will it be the gatehouse section with a working portcullis, metal spiky gates, or will it be a representational moat, along with a sneaky submerged crocodile, with just the snout and eyes protruding out of the water ? Or will it be the fin of a shark, or maybe a long tentacle of an octopus, waiting to snatch some unwary traveler off the drawbridge ? Your videos are giving me loads of ideas for builds. That shows just how good your channel really is, when it gives you further ideas that are not really connected to the video you have just watched - brilliant !

    So clean pieces and very well done. But something bother me since several videos : Dont you have like natural rocks and gravel in your country that you have to buy it at the dollar store? (again very nice castle ;)

      Not 100% sure what you mean. I could just go out and get some rocks I suppose but I already had these around the house from a different craft project and they were uniform and clean. It was easier to get these out of the drawer. Thanks!

    how did you connect the walkway with the base wall? You said now to glue and you blocked the actual connecting actions in the video. Great project too!

    Enjoyed the build and it looks great. I agree the arrows really just set the whole thing off. I think they reinforce the functionality of the battlement to the minds eye. Good job!

    The walls with the wooden hording looks great. There were many real castles that were built similarly, though in many cases there were stone battlements behind them to give some protection in the event that the hording was shot with fire arrows and it burned. You were right there were holes in the bottom that facilitated shooting arrows straight down to stop troops from bringing up a battering ram against the wall, but not all had them, so you were ok as far as realism. Sometimes the outer wooden wall was decorated with markings, but not too many were. I liked both of your constructions, the wall and the tower. These things I mentioned, I've actually seen after having been stationed with the military in Germany. I loved going to and through castles while I was there. I'm subscribed with your channel, and I will be keeping an eye on your builds. Thank you.

    black wash when the paint is still wet can undo all your dry brushing! Although the upside is that if you mess up your dry brush layer, you can fix it with an early wash.

    Awesome looking wall. I was thinking the same thing about "murder holes" on yiur wooden hoardings. Lol.
    You could alwayd put some uprights in and then magnetise a roof onto the wall top.

    First time I watch any of your videos and this is simply terrific. Can you tell me the size of the little bricks? I really want to do something similar to your castle, but I don't have a foam cutter so I think im gonna cut with my cutter. Another question... Are you going to show videos weekly?, monthly?, .... Thanks for the inspiration!

    • @ScatterCraft
      @ScatterCraft  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks I think these bricks were 10mm x 10mm x 15mm. Videos weekly. Thanks!
