Question of the day;
Question - The ratio of boys to girls in a class is 8: 5. There are 27 fewer girls then boy. The total number of student in the class is:
Answer-let the number of boys and girls be 8x and 5x
A.T.Q- 27 MORE GIRL;
5x- 8x=27
-3x=27
x= 27/-3
x=9
Let's find number of boys and girls;
8x= 8×9= 72
5x= 5×9= 45
Total number of student in the class; 72+45= 117
Answer- There a total 117 student in the class.

= 8x-5x = 27
= 3x = 27
=x = 27/3 = 9
Boys = 8*9 = 72 boys
Girls = 5*9 = 45 girls
Total number of student in the class = 72+45
