Heroes of Shadowverse Calamity Portalcraft | UPDATE IN PINNED COMMENT

Calamity Portalcraft, a deck I shockingly haven't played on this channel yet, is one of shadowverse's biggest mysteries. Its a deck that is slower than most grindy control bloodcrafts, overly relies on expensive cards with little in the way of early game, and limited ways of mitigating combos, yet before despair came into the picture it was one of portalcrafts most popular decks in the format. It was popular enough that you could expect a decent number of any portal players you ran across to be running some form of calamity build, regardless of its quality. Speaking of despair, It seems like a great inclusion on paper, a way to cheat out more big followers to speed up the calamity invoke process but the followers you cheated out just won the game before you even got your first invoke. So this video features 2 builds, the purist calamity build and the heathen despair calamity build. I'd like to give one last thanks to everyone who voted in the polls for this expansion! And now we wait for Worlds Beyond!

So with Worlds Beyond getting a big delay, theres roughly a 9 month period where its just gonna be SV1 in maintenance mode. For that period I'll be playing the 3 main formats, Throwback Rotation, Custom Rotation, and of course Unlimited. I'll Also be focusing my deck ideas to fit the current Throwback rotation format, With ultimate Colosseum being first in line, my most likely Video once Heroes of Shadowverse is officially over will likely be OG Amataz Forest, a staple UL menace from that era. From there I'll just play it by ear until we get something more concrete about the state of Worlds Beyond. Now Lets hope that Despair gets some sort of change before Throwback rotation because that card fucked up this format something fierce.

@@erebuskaslana1583 There's 2 potential ways to get a sword card in portal that are relatively reasonable.
option 1 is craftsmans' pride, which gives 2 of 3 from puppet, enhanced puppet, and forge weaponry.
option 2 is catherine, nightsmoke, which gives you a choice between 3 loot cards, all of which are legally sword cards.
