Filter at 3.5k, fluid and filter at 8k through Dodson fill line. Swapped brakes to Girodisc and Carbotech for z51. Looks great with tridents and work better! Zeus looks awesome.
I can’t find anywhere. Is the corvettes trickle charger 🔌 surged protected? I have mine plugged into a extension cord which is connected to a light bulb socket. There isn’t any plug 🔌 ins in the rental units garage that’s why I have to use the light bulb for a plug. THANKS 😊 I LIVE YOUR TECH TUESDAYS ❤
That was a great trick on the C7 key fob and I had to just try. Unfortunately now I noticed on my rear tire with 3k miles on them the tire split at the rim about 2 inches. Never a dull moment.
It does...more coming up...you don't have to worry about second one until a full transmission fluid replacement, which is part of our recommended service for owners - will be doing a vlog on that
Rick, The only GM certified grill protector are made by Scrape Armor. You can order through them directly or from GM now. They will be selling the front and side intake guards for the C8 Z06 on release date too. R&D was delayed for the C8 Stingray side intake guards to develop the Z06 guards by release date! I was selling Scrape Armor guards at Corvette's of Carlisle this year! The reason their products are approved at Ron Fellows, they provide 85% air flow and nut & bolt mounting vs 75% air flow and zip ties. Please tell them Shane Hric sent you or any of your subscribers in the comments should they order. Thanks -Shane
Happy to hear you finally got track insurance. I was the guy that told you that your regular car insurance will not cover damage/liability in any race etc event. That came from my brother who was a senior insurance advisor/investigator.......
Ok I have to. Love all Videos. But. The glitch ,display going black. Honestly ( all these electronics on This Car). It happens. So if Space shuttle has a glitch 😳. Open the door? 🤷♂️ GM needs to Fix these for the customer
Well they are trying to make it correct, i did not except car and they are placing new order due to their mistake. Somewhere during the submitting of order it got changed or missed.
GM rep at Carlisle said IF you change your DCT filter early “ before 7500 miles “ they recommend changing it again at 7500 miles By early I’m guessing anything under 3K IDK.
@@reginaldsmall3766 hi Reginald. There are some great TH-cam videos and videos from Radiator Grill Store. The four front grills are pretty simple. Just lower the panels below the radiator and push guards into place. The two side vents require pushing and bending the guards into place. It takes a bit of pressure and fineness. Took me about an hour total time for all six. Looks fantastic and guards against damage. Studying the videos will make the job go smoothly.
Rick, I placed a order with a different dealer before I knew about you sry. When the order was sent in the front lift did not get ordered some how it got missed should I except it or will I be okay without it .l’m not happy. I sure wish I would’ve found you sooner. Keep you the videos very educational
Love the valuable lessons and hands-on demos. Thank you, Chuck. Rick, pass a Happy Birthday to Jacob and Ryan for me. Thank you for giving me my birthday present a week early, by putting my C8 order into your September cycle. Soon I won't be dreaming, I'll be driving. You're the best. Whoo Hoo!
Rick, I placed a order with a different deal before I knew about you sry. But when my order was sent in they didn’t put front lift on the order should I except it, or will I be okay without it, I’m not happy
I tried to get a tranny flush and filter change to help prevent any of the debris that gets trapped in and around solenoids during break in and low mile cars from damaging anything. The dealer refuses to do it unless the car has codes being thrown by the transmission. By then it is often too late. Ive seen countless posts of others having it done, its an 8-10 minute procedure. They currently still have the car due to other warranty issues, but I dont even want to talk to them anymore after how they treated me. So id like to ask this here. If the car makes it to 7500 filter change will they even do the 8-10 flush procedure then? Is it part of the filter change? Or only done if the tranny is throwing codes? Thanks
I love tracking my c8. Thank you for the tracking information…… I know exactly the thrill and feeling you get tracking this car….. Let’s do it together someday…..
Great content Rick. Regarding the Scrape Armor grill guards I noticed GM part # in a comment below. I ordered mine from Ciocca as my CA dealer could not get them at the time(2 months ago.) They fit really well and I noticed that all of Ron Fellows school cars have these grill guards. Worth the $399. Thanks again for the ceramic brake pad info from Paragon as I plan to change to these soon. Keep up the great Tech Tuesdays with Chuck!
The grill guards being asked about are sold through the Chevrolet accessories’ website, the scrape armor product. GM helped with their design with CAD data so they’re a bit different than others.
Rick & Chuck - I watch all your videos but I especially love tech Tuesday - never miss one. Have a couple of bones to pick about todays though. 1) I think the guy asking about the DCT filter change at 4000 miles wasn't really asking it it was a good idea to do it at that mileage. I got the impression he was asking if he could do himself or was there something the dealer has to do. And the answer is that the dealer needs to do the flush procedure with the computer. 2) In answer to the question about grill guards, as others have noted, the Scrape Armor guards are the one and only approved by GM. I love Paragon equipment and have purchased many of their products but lately you've been sounding like they are a sponsor.
How does Chuck find the time to keep up with all the information and data that it takes? Would love to hear what he goes through for his certification and his wealth of knowledge

I'll get the first year service on my 2022 C8 soon. It's got around 6,500 miles since last November and I'll go to a race track in KS from IL next month. Yeah, this topic is a very important but somehow confusing one. Thank you for sharing the information with us repeatedly.
On the radiator guards, I'd like to offer a tidbit - If you have a car with the carbon fiber grill bezel, the ONLY ONE that will work on that car that does not use zip ties is the one from Scrape Armor, which is GM approved. Other screens' brackets won't work properly with nuts that are molded into the bezel. I learned this as I had to do an RMA on the Paragon Performance version as I do have the carbon fiber bezel.
🇵🇷Rick you should set up a private discord for your customers, so that they can get in contact with you sooner opposed to waiting with all the other questions that are not related to your customers. Will there be a software update for the glitch in the info screen that doesn't come up right away now sometimes?
Thanks, GM never tells us in advance about updates, we just watch for memo's when they occur and for C8, you get a pop up sacreen when they are available...thanks for watching
Rick, great information, you are the best. You said 2 years for the DCT filter change..??? I thought it had to be within the first year or 7500 miles which ever comes first. I know the oil change is that. And I've heard you can pay for your oil change and then wait up to 2 years for the DCT filter change. I'm confused. Is it one year or 2 for the DCT filter???????????????? Thanks for your time, we really do appreciate it.
I have a question. I have a faulty infotainment screen in my 2019 ZO6. It’s under warranty, but the dealer can’t get the screen. The service writer told me it comes from a Cell Phone company and is back ordered. It’s been 4 months. Can you shed any light on this?
Thanks for all your info,

The ridges on the nacelles of the pace car model are not vents they are where the extra lights are installed that are required on pace cars
Wouldn’t they just put the top up and put them on the roof as usual.
@@ivanreed2901 I watched that race. That pace car was driven on the track with the top down every time it went out on the track during the race.
