I commend your bravery, blackberry's. I personally would have hired a heard of goats. Then followed by pig hire to rid the property of the roots. Preventing the return.
I think your brush cutter could tackle those blackberry bushes all by itself based on the clearings you regularly do. Just set it on automatic and let her go!
I have seen some overgrown berry patches, but nothing like this. What a mess! That's at least 6 years of overgroth. You did a great job! But maybe get a bush hog next time...lol
Thanks Lee! Bush hogs are actually quite bad at attacking blackberries, as with grass, they just cut down to a set height and can’t get any lower. With blackberries if you leave the main stems in tact they will just continue to grow and all the work and effort of the bush hog is gone. When I mulch the blackberries my main goal is to take things all the way to the ground and when I see the root ball I try to mulch it up and cause damage to it so there is less chance of it growing back.
I hate black berry bushes they spread like crazy. I didn't have them until a pair of Blue Jays nested and spread them to my lawn. It was fine the first few years as I got lots of black berries which I used in my beer but then it took over my lawn.

How often after you run out of gas do you move the Camera to a new spot ???
I usually get about 50-60minutes of run time out of one tank of gas. And I do move the camera to a new angle as it’s more interesting that way.

The trouble with a wild bramble if you only cut them off and don't poison or dig out the root they will be back thicker and more aggressive than ever.
