I had a lot of fun playing the nighttime stages on the Wii and I really liked the visuals in a lot of those stages, some almost as much as the day stages.
This does look great. I know this is wishful thinking on my part, but I would like to see Sega port the Wii version to Nintendo Switch eShop where the game would be remastered in HD, run at 60fps and have an option between using the Joy Cons for Motion Controls to mimic the Wii Remote and Nunchuck or a traditional control scheme. In a similar manner to how Lucasfilm had been releasing remasters of Star Wars games from before the Disney purchase like Knights of the Old Republic and the Wii version of Force Unleashed on Switch eShop. Just don’t let Blind Squirrel Games handle the port. Let Aspyr do it.
The only problem with being able to get this entry (let alone any from the Griffith Era) to be ported in this era is ultimately a matter of Licensing and Personality Rights: The reason why I feel it was easy for Sega to give us ports of Adventure '98/Deluxe and II for Dreamcast Collection Remastered and Sega Heritage Collection (as well as a re~release of Complete Trinity (Heroes)' PlayStation 02 port via PlayStation Network) is because Sega probably had made some relevant deal in the original contract for the Dreamcast Era titles (sans potentially Shuffle) that would guarantee a linear method of credit and payment to the entire cast and also Deem Bristow's estate; the method used back then likely didn't carry over to the Griffith Era in 2003, as many entries that feature the 04Kids cast still have yet to get proper ports to PC (with Shadow the Hedgehog, Several Wills (2006/2007 Game), Secret Rings, Planetary Pieces (Unleashed/World Adventure), Zero Gravity, and Black Knight being the notorious examples) and enough time has passed that Sega's legal team would probably have to write up a new agreement that would need to be approved and negotiated by everybody involved that it may very well be difficult to get the licensing to use specific actors and tracks outright (this is why the Rush entries could never be re~released without having to spend potentially Millions (USD) combined to reuse every track that was sampled, otherwise you get the situation with Daria's release to Home Video and all those tracks would ultimately be replaced with Remixes and Soundalikes), there is zero doubt that these entries will benefit significantly from Modern Era hardware and the uplifts to quality and performance but Sega may take the Rockstar route if it feels that it is not viable to give us entries from the Griffith Era in their original form if it is destined to become a legal and financial nightmare for many years to come.

I've read somewhere that Sonic Unleashed was going to have a PSP version but it got cancelled.
