I am back and with a new video to share to you all! I am sorry if my voice sounds very shaky and the amount of stuttering I did in these recordings. First time trying a video like this, but hopefully it didn't taint your viewing experience!

Apparently from what I heard the writers of TMNT 2012, they had a crush on the TMNT 90s version of April. Thus wrote April in weird situations (like the fishface flirting with her even though he's an adult 💀) loved the vid!
I choose to believe that fishface is canonically just a playa and that he flirts with just about every girl. (I know it’s the writers fault but I like fishface as a character)
EWWWWWW i felt like i heard this somewhere before but the combination of “I had a crush on this adult character as a kid” and “now that i’m an adult writing the show let me age down this adult character into a teenage girl” and “i will go out of my way to objectify her and put her into weird situations inappropriate for an underage character” is so fucking nasty.
This is a really cute redesign, it's not too different from what we got, but it still gives April that kind of just normal chill highschooler look that I feel is a lot more emphasized here personally. I definitely prefer the regular jean pants than shorts personally, looks a lot more comfortable and homey than shorts and leggings. Putting little graphic details help a lot make them look a lot fun too. Overall very good.
I honestly prefer this design over the original. In the old design her clothes were so tight that they were sticking to her body and it kinda looked weird, and she endeed looked like a girl in her twentys. I think you gave her more teen vibes and i really like it :D

Honestly, I don’t care much for the show’s design of her or her personality in the series. This drawing makes her look sweet and less boring! Great job!!! 💖
Lovely redesign! I do agree that 2012's version of April needed some changes. Compared to the rest of the main cast she looks so.. plain? She looks like a background character you'd see in the series more than a main character. Honestly one thing I don't see often in redesigns that I would love to see more would be to give her some sort of feature that makes her look a little off, since despite her having Kraang dna she just looks like a human and I always found that kind of disappointing. Nothing that'd give that fact away, but maybe making her look a little uncanny would have been a fun little piece of foreshadowing. Or heck, maybe something as simple as giving her green eyes instead of blue.
Dammit, that would of been so cool to do! Well thanks for the suggestion! Maybe if I go back to edit it, I'll add something that foreshadows her as part Kraang
@@pelletshot23 No prob!! I'm a big fan of tmnt 2012 sguysgyjguus it's been my hyper fixation for 12 years straight now!
I like the idea of her having pretty sharp canines, something subtle like that.
I think she's supposed to look like the most normal amongst the other characters. So, her looking uncanny and a little off would diminish that. Also, that adds to her personality. I think she is supposed to be this very mature teen girl and very active rather than geeky and nerdy. So, the pony tail and free hair that's not covered by a hat or beanie adds to that.

Literally April is my least favorite part of tmnt 2012 she is annoying I hate that they gave her powers I hate the way she manipulated Donnie (not that he didn’t do anything wrong he was still kinda creepy about her) and I hate her design her low chest those large feed the flat greasy hair I just hate her

I love your design so much! I like how it actually kinda isn’t as random as the original because it just had random things(like the weird ball looking thing on her back pocket).

@@Bloodmoendetta That I do. But this isn't focusing around her character, it's mostly revolving around her design and how I'd change it. I think the original had a lot of potential, but was just executed poorly.

@@alex-13-7-9 Yeah, I wanted to keep the speedpaint in line with all my voice recordings, but in doing that, I made it really fast as a result. I didn't really have a lot to talk about in the redesign.
