Experiences like this are life altering and mind broadening. I was a U S Peace Corps member in Asia after college and that experience altered my perceptions forever.
Beyond sending young people to exotic cultures like the Masai, I would advocate exchanges among young people from different regions of the U.S. How eye opening it would be for a “city boy” to live on a mid-western farm and visa versa. Perhaps some of the divisiveness that exists in my country could be lessened as young people got to the conditions under which each other live.

Did you get to watch or participate in an “Endomond” circumcision ceremony? I saw the dancing at one (very beautiful), though obviously not the actual FGM on Stephanie Fuchs TH-cam channel (she is a German woman who married a Maasai man & has lived with them for at least 5-6 years as they have a son, ~4.)
FYI: Many of the Maasai still practice female circumcision (FGM). I tried translating “Endomond” from Swahili & had no luck until I entered “endo mondo.” That translates to “go to the world.” I know I would not want to go to any world that involved mutilation of my genitals.
While it’s wonderful to have the opportunity to visit & explore other cultures, unfortunately, it’s not all dancing, music, bead making & learning how to mix cow dung & sand into mortar. I realize that a trip such as yours is perhaps not the time to engage the women on this subject, though when is? I also know that their traditional lands have been deforested, overgrazed & down right stolen from them by colonialists, missionaries & even some locals & that without sufficient water & food, it’s difficult to address other issues, cultural or otherwise. But compared to other TH-cam footage I’ve seen, their animals seem well-fed. I’d be interested in hearing more about your experience! I’m not trying to take anything away from what was a joyous time for you. Our planet is definitely better served when we get to know each other as individuals & share and learn from each other.

Re: ~2:15-2:30 where one of the American girls says “...you know in our schools when we’re taught stuff, it just disappears after a couple of weeks. But here it’s like the stuff they’re taught is applicable to these people’s daily life... blah blah blah... But here’s the deal, Sweetheart. It’s not your Teachers’ responsibility to get you to retain whatever you’ve been taught; ITS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY for one. And for 2: if you’re not using the education you’re being given (Which is a Great Legacy and Honor, something to be Very Proud Of.!!! Even 2-3 generations back your ancestors were given NO EDUCATION AT ALL. AND UNFORTUNATELY THAT CARRIES BACK 100s of years, especially in the case of American Blacks, but also was true among many other ethnicities in this country (the USA) including my own. I’m an Anglo-American with a good education including a 4 yr. college degree from a good school but neither of my grandfathers Ever Even Finished Grade School. !
It’s Up to YOU to do something with your education.
ITS YOUR LIFE: SO LIVE IT !!
    And DONT TAKE THE VAX!!!
