Federal Express Flight 705 as it was called as that year it was named as FedEx Corporation. The plane was mainly hauling electronics. Just so you know. But yeah definitely would question what happened to the cargo. Also might i add. The plane landed overweight mainly due to the fuel as it couldnt dump as the captain was the only one in the flight deck while the F.O and F.E were fending off Auburn Calloway.
Yeah, there is a hijacker within the crew every time. They play among us irl. Someone in the crew that REALLY needs money becomes impostor and they gotta find him before he starts murdering.

I flew 306FE many times both as Flight Engineer when it was a DC-10 and as Captain after it was converted to MD-10. Until they installed the HUD around 2010 the plastic liner above the captain’s seat still had a gash where the hammer glanced off before striking the captain.
Those pilots have a special place in heaven, amazing story
If only they were the pilots on Flight 11
Just think of that mail they saved. Jokes aside, good on them. What happened to the hijacker?
@@BlyGuy idk but whatever it was, it was better than what he had planned for himself
They survived although badly injured. As I recall, even the hijacker survived. Quite a fight.
Being Pilots they are probably too intelligent to be religious and would simply laugh at your silly comment.

I saw a documentary about this event. Both pilots were ex-military and so they were trained in close combat. I believe the pilot that was driving had experience in the air force and did maneuvers that would go beyond the limits of the plane or at least extremely close to what it could handle since it is a mail plane and not a plane made for dogfighting or strenuous maneuvers like banking or nose diving at a high speed.
Well, obviously, he didn’t go past the limits of the airplane. Because if he did it would not have flow again.
There have been several near crashes, where when the plane landed it was scrap metal. Bent wings, and control surfaces, and rippling of the fuselage.
Pilots were permanently disabled from it iirc? They were seriously injured and still had the ability to make sure this 🤬 was brought to justice. Mad respect.
He didn’t mention squawking 7500 so they might have gotten in trouble
Signed petition. This airplane had an incredible moment of not crashing. Deserved in a museum.
They had to preform an extra barrel roll at the end just to teach the packages a lesson too
lol
Fedex worker here, our pilots are awesome especially the ones that fly the MD’s such a cool plane
Never underestimate the will to live.
They landed with one pilot conscious, half paralyzed and severely overweight and over stressed the airframe. They almost hit mach 1 in a DC-10 and loss most control surfaces and where able to get out of the climb by some miracle. The DC-10 remained in service and was one of the last FedEx retired a few years ago. Tho none of the pilots could fly commercially one of them recovered well enough to fly privately as a hobby
Really sucks that these guys were unable to fly again, but at least they managed to save themselves.
We used to fear someone going postal. Now even worse is someone going FedEx.

Now that's what I call a real family man, willing to take one for the team! I believe the F/O never flew again. I believe the Capt did most of the flying, all with ball hammer dents and harpoons sticking out of his head. I think at one time, FEDEX pretty much hired ex-Navy pilots.
Signed the petition. Let's hope this plane goes to a museum 💖
The series Mayday has this event as one of there episodes.
Calloway must've been shocked. Tucker and the rest of the crew fought back heavily, much more than what Calloway could ever expect.
Nice breakdown of the incident! :)
(I found ATC audio of this incident, and ill be uploading the audio soon)
Just a shame the pilots couldn't fly again from the damages afaik, and also, saving this at a museum would be dumb because it's huge, not too interesting, contaminated with biohazard, crime scene, cleaned and looking like a normal plane
what if we kept just the cockpit
What if we cleaned the..... you know gore
pretty sure they cleaned all that, if fedex was gonna scrap the plane due to blood it would’ve been done a very long time ago
I'm sure many museums would be proud to have this plane and it's history
So this is why my package is broken
Man He really loved his family
Actually suicidal are often selfish and this guy surely didn’t consider the consequences to his family if he failed. At the same time he risked total upheaval and losses for his family, his family name and untold suffering for untold numbers of the flight crew’s family members.
So no he did not love his family. He was surely suicidal anyways.
You, and those who gave a thumbs up, have a selfish, evil, and warped understanding of what love is. That selfish suicidal clown was effectively a deliberate murderer, even though he failed to succeed.

Title: The Unlikely Redemption of a Hijacker
Once upon a time, in a bustling city, there lived a man named Jack. Jack had always felt invisible, overlooked by society. He yearned for recognition, for his voice to be heard. One day, consumed by desperation and a misguided sense of purpose, Jack made a fateful decision that would change his life forever.
On a sunny morning, Jack found himself at the airport, his heart pounding with nervous anticipation. He had concocted a plan to hijack a plane, believing that this extreme act would finally make people take notice of him. As he boarded the aircraft, fear mingled with a strange sense of adrenaline-fueled determination.
As the plane took off, Jack's mind raced with conflicting emotions. He questioned the morality of his actions, but it was too late to turn back now. The passengers onboard were terrified, their lives hanging in the balance. Jack's desperate cry for attention had turned into a nightmare.
However, amidst the chaos, there was one passenger who seemed remarkably calm. Her name was Sarah, a woman with a gentle demeanor and a compassionate heart. Sarah had always believed in the power of empathy and understanding. As she observed Jack, she sensed something deeper underlying his actions.
Sarah approached Jack cautiously, her voice filled with compassion. She listened as he poured out his frustrations, his feelings of insignificance, and his desire to be seen and heard. She acknowledged his pain, validating his emotions. In that moment, Jack felt a glimmer of hope, a connection he had longed for his entire life.
Sarah's empathy unlocked something within Jack. He realized the gravity of his actions and the profound impact they were having on innocent lives. With Sarah's support, he made the difficult choice to surrender himself to the authorities, determined to face the consequences of his actions.
News of the hijacking spread like wildfire, capturing the attention of the nation. However, what followed was unexpected. Instead of being vilified, Jack's story evoked a mix of sympathy, curiosity, and a collective reflection on the underlying issues of societal neglect and the desperate cries for help that often go unheard.
During his trial, Jack was given a chance to speak. He used this platform not to justify his actions but to advocate for the importance of recognizing and addressing the struggles of those who feel invisible in society. His story sparked a nationwide conversation about empathy, mental health, and the need for social support systems.
In the years that followed, Jack dedicated his life to raising awareness, working with organizations that focused on mental health and providing support for those who felt marginalized. His story became a beacon of hope for individuals who felt unseen and unheard, inspiring them to seek help, share their stories, and find solace in the embrace of a compassionate community.
Jack's transformation from a hijacker to an advocate showcased the power of understanding, empathy, and second chances. His story served as a reminder that even in the darkest of moments, redemption and personal growth are possible. And so, Jack's journey became a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the potential for positive change, no matter how dire the circumstances may seem.
I remember when this happened. The pilots fought like hell for a while.

“Did my Fedex package survive too?” -person that got their FedEx package delayed
the pilots took "we're here for your service" to a whole other level 💀
that pilot did all that while suffering a hemorrhagic stroke secondary to blunt force trauma that left half his body limp for the latter part of the fight.
I watched a documentary on this. The pilots/crew got beaten and thrown around almost to the point of death. The fact that they were not only able to survive their injuries but land the plane safely was a miracle.
"BRO WHY IS MY PS5 BROKEN?"
FedEx: Bro we literally fought back the hijacker just for your shit
Maverick: Because I was inverted.
This DC-10 went just about Mach 1 at one point. The fact it didnt rip apart and was in service until very recently, is incredible.
It's not that you should be careful because pilots aren't pushovers, It's the fact that everyone has their own lives and means of fighting back.
