      @@hpharold23 CTRL +m to cycle the forces model in XP.
      Also CFD actually isn’t fully modelled in MSFS. Sorry to bust your bubble and speech.
      Most devs are not using it fully and whilst CFD provides a more accurate model in comparison to BET it’s not a large variation that any person would comprehend in flight physics or notice.
      Most 3rd party devs are still struggling to get the flight modelling to be accurate in msfs which I’ll refer you to PMDG, Fenix and many others public available posts.
      A2A who can be regarded as probably one of the most accurate study level devs from FSX and P3D has struggled massively to get accurate data to translate into msfs and the SDK still has parts under construction which asobo are yet to open up.
      And not to mention the proof of this with there being a huge lack of right rudder on rotate in many aircraft in msfs.
      SR22 is very much my case in point.
      And the default king air has been tested by many KA350i real world pilots all of whom have stated the same thing. No the KA350 doesn’t fly anything like this.

    The only flight sims that aren't boring AF are DCS and IL2. How you don't have IL2 on here just stretches credibility. Sitting in a plane watching clouds go by is something I'll do if I'm ever in a wheelchair maybe. The new MSFS may be better if it gets the 'missions' right...at least there will be something to do.

      I'm a DCS guy and i though the same thing you do. However I would strongly recommend you trash that thought process. I have msfs ans I primarily fly the 747 as I love it. I also do vatsim. That Is very difficult to get bored unless you do long flights. I do 2-5 hour flights on vatsim. On vatsim you must create flight plans talk with atc aka real people that play as atc get taxi clearances follow flight plans exactly how real life pilots do it. It's extremely fun. Then there are also extremely fun airports that you can fly into. My favorite is VNKD aka kathmandu. The approach to land is between 2 mountains. The airstrip high begins at 9000 feet above sea level. The top of the runway is approximately 11000 feet. That approach is tons of fun. Obviously you don't take 747 or even an a320 but smaller plans are great to take in there. Especially I'm VR it's fun. Yes I would re-think your idea of msfs if I were you.

    In my own humble opinion, FSX is No.1, DCS is No.2. All other simulators are great and wonderful, but nothing comes close to the old but venerable FSX.
    In the end, nothing compares to flying actual airplanes in real life. Simulation excels in the areas of mastering aircraft systems (simulation) and for entertainment. A well moded FSX still meets and exceed those objectives

    Good to see P3DV5 in the no 4 slot.
    With ASN and ORBX True Earths for UK I think it offers a much better VFR simulation of UK, and a much crisper and realistic representation of UK weather than MSFS or XPlane do.

  • @mughug9616
    @mughug9616 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    WARNING - AeroFly FS4 lacks 'many' of the features like ATC and full weather found in other flight simulators. The detailed sections of the world are extremely limited, too. And also, unlike the other flight simulators, you will find that your investment in purchased 3th-party DLC for AeroFly FS(x) will not be usuable in newer versions of AeroFly FS(x). Long-term receptive (to customers) support is also lacklustered. Features talked about for FS2 never came to fruition, which does not bode well for the future of FS4 or trust in the developer/publisher.
    Apart from looking 'pretty', it falls far short of the potential of MSFS, X-Plane and PrePar3D and offers lesser value for your investment.

    This video said very little about DCS, when flying from the cockpit, ( the pilot's seat ). Most of what was shown, were external views of all the military aircraft DCS offers. • @Lightning_studios437
      @Lightning_studios437 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Depends on your system but the cockpit on high fidelity aircraft is usually extremely detailed and looks beautiful, if your system is good enough the outside from the cockpit can also look good as well (This is in case you are doing low altitude missions) and different objects such as powerlines and buildings are fully modelled. The lighting in DCS is also amazing especially around 5:00PM in cockpit view.

    • @zorbakaput8537

      If you can run at 4K 60Hz there isn't a better view especially with the HUD in many of the AC and Helos. Plus you can plan real missions which test you in the different aircraft in 3 different eras WWII, cold war and modern. The only sim that shows the Hornet and other carrier based aircraft to their full value imo.

      @@Lightning_studios437 Thanks. I have a high end, PC desktop. I was partially asking about graphics, ( appearance ), but more importantly, I was wondering about buttons, switches, and their functionality in the cockpit. Thanks so much for your responses. Quite helpful.

    • @beavaerobravo4360
      @beavaerobravo4360 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Fidelity for switches and cockpit functionality, flight dynamics there is a two parts to DCS. Most stand alone models are study level and most switches are functional(some secret functions are not perfectly modelled for obvious reasons). Being a Pilot, my subjective feeling is that flight dynamics and the feel of the aircraft in DCS are superior to X--plane, and X-plane is not the "king" of flight dynamics. Actually X-plane is rather deterministic and very poor in low speed/stall situations. Cockpits are well modelled but the terrain is.... sqaure grid and flat vs curved which means it is kind of odd using real life plates at some airport on the map. Note that most military aircraft doesnt have RNAV capability (Hopefully the C-130J will have) so most approaches if you want fly those will be RBSN, ILS, TCN, ICLS, and for some aircraft VOR. The systems are fuctional and work as well and work on a satisfactory level. all switches and buttons in the aircraft can be switched to appropriate conditions. If you place the wrong switch in the wrong conidtions, you may encounter issues as appropriate.
      EXCEPTION there is a series of aircraft that have simplified avionics (Non-clickable cockpit) These are the Flaming Cliffs (FC3) models.
      VR is where it really shines. TO be honest it is THE benchmark for VR controllers, MSFS could learn alot from how inputs are handled.

    DCS took me days to start up cold and months to completely understand and master ALL the weapons and avionics

      @@burgadahz17 I fly the UH-1H Huey with no weapons....the P-51 with no weapons and both sims have the FA-18. So, when I just compare the experience there is a large difference in quality. I think that my conclusion is that if DCS had any commercial aircraft, if they ever take the time to do such a thing, it will be a vastly better experience. It is far less clunky and the flight models feel superior in the aircraft I have used. However, MSFS does shine in certain areas and I know that in other areas there can't really be a one to one comparison. But at the end of the day, they are indeed both flight sims and I disagree that you can't compare them at all. I can also compare the user interfaces and controls settings and DCS has MSFS beat there by a country mile as well.

    • @burgadahz17
      @burgadahz17 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@BooliusGoozlur Yeah, but DCS doesn't have that. And do you think that if Asobo were to add aircraft combat to Microsoft Flight Simulator, they wouldn't do it right?
      I'll repeat it to you as many times as necessary, there's no point in comparing the two to see which one is better. It's like comparing Gran Turismo with Forza Horizon 5.Both are car games but the purposes that each of the two seek are extremely different. One seeks to have a more realistic driving experience. And the other gives you the experience To be able to explore a large-scale open world.
      One is not worse than the other because the two pursue extremely different purposes from each other. It would be very unfair to criticize one of the other.

    The notions that XP has better flight simulation is just a notion. It maybe valid in the past but XP12 seems still uses Blade element theory. This flight dynamics calculating tech is pretty old. Haven't found CFD visualisation option. P-Factor with Perf. Data on MSFS more accurate there. MSFS in the other hand has CFD, which you can actually see the simulation and simulated surfaces on the airplane. XP maybe using 5 simulated surfaces on an airplane and MSFS uses hundreds of simulation surfaces in an aircraft, thus makes it more accurate and realistic.
    Here's the CFD simulation in visual and data form. And I would like to see XP to provide with their simulation data as well.

    Putting MSFS above DCS is a shame from the sim side. You can say it has more to offer because of more civilian aircraft and landscapes but DCS offers more in terms of anything military so that is subjective. But just as a pure simulator of flying DCS 100% is the winner. The United States Air Force and other militaries use DCS to train real pilots, no one in history will use MFS to train real pilots

    • @burgadahz17
      @burgadahz17 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      What you say doesn't make any sense. Because the DCS simulator is only adapted for fighter jets. Obviously it is true that the MSFS fighter jets are not better than those of the DCS ones. But here's the important thing. There's no point in comparing them. But the purpose of msfs is directly for commercial aircraft, not for fighter aircraft. Both have extremely different goals. Do you think DCS would have good physics for commercial aircraft? Exactly. It doesn't make sense.

    In my opinion, the three companies of X-Plane - DCS - MS Flight Simulator are all tied for first place. The reason is that the damaged building scenes that appear when flying low altitude helicopters in MS Flight Simulator are still not resolved - these problems have not been resolved by MS. I admit that MS is first if it solves the problem. On the other hand, X-Plane's building scene shows everything well in three dimensions even at low altitudes, and DCS has a fatal disadvantage in that it has limited flight space.

    Reviewer is taken in by a vulgar ‘Scenery Simulator’. The *convincing feel* of a plane in flight is my top priority and the blade element theory Xplane stuff doesn’t seem to translate into simulating *real world* _feel._ Aerofly gets basic aeroplane feel quite good or better some of the time but it can be update dependent and recently they are slow fixing reported bugs.
