I go to at least 20 or 30 shows a year and have seen many many bands that kick ass but aside from Zepplin getting the original lineup, (including dead) or Jimi or SRV( also coming back from beyond) No one i have seen can touch Metallica live. I have seen everyone from Korn to Kiss to System of a Down and Tool and while they are all great shows respectively, Metallica are just better at it.

I absolutely love everything about this song. The words are extremely moving, and the music is absolutely top notch from top to bottom! Not only the best Metallica song ever, but one of the best songs period. I have been listening to this song multiple times per week for like 10 years and not one bit tired of it!
Sometimes the instrumental version just hits better. It's so well written as an instrumental piece and so beautifully played that I'd rather leave James' vocals for other songs.

The album cut has the ending fading out during the solo, while in this instrumental version they played straight out through to the end, the same way they play it live. Just wondering, is this a cover? Or some rare Metallica track that was played around with or something?
