Polar bears do not get everything their own way .. the little known Polar Wolf the wild ancestor of the Borzoi hunts Polar Bears, the Russians similarly use domesticated Borzois to hunt bears .. the single reference is in a video made by two Canadian researchers who spent two yrs in what was about the most northerly part of the Canadian archipelago, who filmed a breeding pair .. they look nothing like regular Arctic Wolves.

Hard to say that I like this video, as it shows what is so wrong, a large vessel, burning off fuel into their hunting habitat and affecting the water, possibly scaring away a meal, but additionally what seem to be simply tourists looking for another “great shot” 😞 I want them to leave and perhaps Mother Bear is teaching her offspring to both fear and despise those creatures for destroying their habitat also. True sadness as this is going in right in front of us, yet so little is done to safeguard them from extinction and we possess the power and knowledge to make change 😞

Feeding wildlife almost always ends badly. If you feed a bear, it will then associate humans with food and become dangerous, it could also wander into a town and be shot. As they say, ‘a fed bear is a dead bear.’
