I love this format. Don't apologize for being you. I think Lisa will watch this one and be proud. I am amazed that you two find the time to make videos and share what you do with us. Thank you!!
Good morning. I love your transparency. I wish I could show you my tanks. The water is clean but the glass is NOT. Thank you for making these videos, I really enjoy them.
John and Lisa, ALWAYS love the channel. I started my aquarium hobby at the start of the pandemic... with a 70G tank I got for free. We used it as a live example of habitat/ecosystems for our 8 yr old (we home schooled for 2 yrs during the pandemic). Your 240G yellow lab tank is one of the reasons I have a 150G chindongo saulosi tank (wanted a species only tank, but more than 1 color)... I love seeing your fish and your tanks, and hearing about your projects! Keep it coming!
Been following for about a month! Love the videos just bought my first tank (16 gallon) thanks for the videos I've learned alot from you keep up the good work
John + Lisa -- as always, I love your videos and the honest assessment of what it takes and the hope about where you're going with the fish room. God bless + happy Holidaze, my friends!!!
Love your setup and really enjoying the videos. Just setup my first aquarium after maybe 35 years. Recently moved here to Texas and couldn't bring the reptiles so an aquarium has been a nice addition to my office. Had a 20 gallon while in high-school. Only a 55 gallon so far that is slowly being filled up with 1-2" peacocks and haps. Can't wait till they get bigger and get some color. Have only had it for a couple of months and have been learning a lot. Already want to upgrade to something bigger or add a second one. Haha.
Hello John and Lisa I love your videos! Question for you. Has anyone here ever tried colloidal silver in their tanks? I had to try it and my tanks and fish look awesome. I just started using it 2 weeks ago. Sure keeps the water crystal clear. It’s supposed to help prevent parasites and aids in healing fish wounds. Good bacteria is not compromised. TH-cam will give instructions on its proper usage. I added 10mls in my 130 tank at 10 ppm. Sorry, I don’t know how it affects snails. Supposed to prevent fungus on eggs. Would love to share video but not sure how to do that. Keep those awesome videos coming guys, oh, and I appreciate that you don’t use the word “like” when you speak to us. Like, you know like, what I mean. LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great video. Thank you for sharing. I need your advice. On the oscars tank what is the cover you use in the bottom to cover the stand? I need to cover mine now for Christmas decoration. God bless you all
Baby Kitty is suffering; it's obvious she doesn't get enough attention, lol I think for just having recently moved, with all those tanks, and your business; y'all are doing well. Take care.
Oh don't cover that old fireplace! That is a piece of history not to be hidden from viewers of your channel. Great video and great tanks. Have a wonderful holiday season. Thank you for sharing with us.
Question about canister filters. The hoses should they be as short/straight as possible for maximum flow or does it not matter? I noticed on.m the whale you have slack in the hose kinda..Also I run 1 if each hob n canister would it make sense to run 1 to polish and the other for beneficial bacteria ? If so what 1 for what?? Heard a couple different answers on that for a few other great fish tubers. Thanks for any input.
You're just showing us you're human too. I loled a few times: multi tank syndrome is real, i ordered a 37G last night thanks to the black friday sales I was able to do a pro and con list which became a solid pro list as i will be able to combine 3 tanks into one. While freeing up the multi usage of electrical outlets. Freeing up one of my smaller breeder tanks and using it for a all female tank and or fry grow out. It'll also free up a 5g or 10g to use for quarantine/hospital tank making medicine doses mathematically easier than using my 3G. Then I went to show my parents your tanks and began explaining the set up you have for the bettas conveniently about 10 seconds away from you showing it. *I've been having morning coffee w them as I'm taking care of my mom post surgery last week. And I can talk fish all day to anyone willing to listen. 🤣 Much love to both you and Lisa!!!
So I see Lisa has been adding plants to some of her other tanks, are you thinking about adding plants to some of your giant tanks now that you've begun experimenting with them?
Hi John…have you tried the coop pre filter on those canisters…it’s a total game changer for the canister…it really helps the process the water and not treating the canister as a garbage can…it helps protect fish not getting cought and maintaining the canister…you don’t have to empty it out as often…I’ve had them on my canisters for years now….I’ve gone over a year without cleaning them out…I go with the flow…good flow leave it alone..slow flow…just clean the pre filter…works AWESOME…makes for a really good seasoned canister…try them you won’t be disappointed 👍…I even use them on my HB’s…works AWESOME on those too 👍
I'm with Lisa - I LOVE snails. Have 5 different kinds (bladder, pond, ramshorn, nerite, assassin) and just ordered type #6 (Malaysian trumpet). Plan to get mystery snails when I have a setup appropriate for them, too. It's a compulsion. LOL
I think 3 or 4 tanks is best. Easier to maintain, less time consuming but still enough to enjoy. I have a 60g, 75g, and a 120g. It takes about 2 maybe 3 hours to clean all 3 of them on a Sunday but afterwards I feel accomplished. Love the vids, haven't seen one in a while, keep up the fun!
You guys are so awesome my favorite TH-cam channel by far. I wouldn't be able to be successful in this hobby if it wasn't for your channel thank you for all the content you guys put out. It's nice to see that it's not just me that gets overwhelmed with my MTS from time to time 😂
Never apologize for advertising your website you and Lisa work hard on your business and you deserve the success you have anyone who doesn't understand that, can join the same club as those who don't like Oscars LOL
first thought?: DANG this just came out, i can't see the new scape he's talking about with those boulders in the two tanks. (hahaha) thanks for talking about how busyness and stuff can really just make things unmanageable. you almost have to plan to get way less than you think you can handle, just so it evens out. and you can keep up when it does get hectic.
Sorry for commenting twice but have you found a light that can work on the 15 gallon column tank? I want a better light for mine but it sort of limits what lights you can use
I've had up to five tanks at once n it definitely was too much work to keep them all clean n work full time n raise kids as well so I'm down to 2...I understand completely...your tanks still look good and your fish are healthy so your doing fine bud👍
Oh, no. Don’t cover the fireplace ❤️ it’s beautiful!!! It adds to the character of the building and the fish house. I can imagine sitting in front of it in a swivel rocker recliner and slowly taking in the entire room. Kinda what I do in my family room between watching tv and turning to see my 55 gallon community tank, my holding tank (for my albino Pleco that I keep in my goldfish pond during the summer), and my quarantine tank. Lol🐠❤️🐟❤️🌱 That’s it! Just buy a new chair!!!😎🤣
Everything looks great. I've been away from your channel for a bit. Thought it was only a couple months, but as I go back and watch stuff... it's been 4. Nothing against ya'll - I was travelling, got covid, had some other health issues, etc. Trying to catch up now. Going backward from newest and forward from oldest I watched for variety.
I love those 15 gallon column tanks I have three of them myself. You of course realize that the replacement hood with the LED lights on it it’s only $32. I would even recommend it for those individuals who have the older fluorescent light to go ahead and upgrade to the new LED version.
If you do that with the fry for the labs can you show how do you get them out of the female when they are holding?? Would love to see that. I love labs. Great job as always enjoy your day❤
Is this ok with my new 55 gallon tank is this enough filters 350 penguin with the wheels and a big sponge filter up to 60 gallons. Right know I only have 2 Cory's 1 electric blue Acura and 1 electric blue Johanni cicklet. When im said and done im only gonna put 6 fish total. Anyway I love watching ur channel you have some beautiful tanks and the betta system is very nice. ANOTHER GREAT VIDE KEEP THEM COMING 👍 👌
It's easier to keep up with your tanks than your cats and that's saying something! I already did my shopping before the sale because my tank needed stuff a lot sooner. Redid the tank with the Hygger light, Tidal 35, and a heater whose brand i forgot the name of from your store and the tank has been SO MUCH EASIER to maintain, so thank you! I wanna re-scape my tank at some point but it's hard right now my fish (just a single 10yr old kissing gourami) gets spooked really bad everytime my neighbors make enough noise to shake the apartment building at night and he has injured himself with every piece of decor I've purchased in the last two years except for live plants..,
I take care of 6 tanks and hate if I fall behind. I am starting to make it a point to take weekends off so I can get on a strick schedule with the tanks. Working for myself does allow for a more open schedule but it's hard to turn down $$$. Anyways great video as normal.
What is the problem with a dirty tank if the water is within limits? I thought green/ish water was good? I also have tanks that are very dark for bettas, why not green?
How old are your severums? I have about 6 severums that are about two inch in a 125 gallon and now I’m wondering if that is too many. Your fish look big.
I have three tanks and I been overwhelmed lately too, with work and home 😂, but it looks like you been losing weight, keep up the good work, you should start a fitness channel next
Put more biological media in the oscar tank. For me wit that tank size, and that filter, it is understocked. And filter floss in the first chamber. Crystal clear water in 24 hours. And the bst part, just change filter floss.
Don't cover the fireplace..also might check the weight displacement for the boulders to be added in the tanks..glass bottoms not slate..🤔..thanks for the great video as always..

Lol!…”Water is clean but glass is not”! Same here…
Same. Tomorrow is glass scraping day.
You being behind on maintenance still looks better than half the hobbyists out there😂
What if you put a fish tank IN the historical fireplace? 🤔 Repurpose AND highlight that feature..?
That’s an Awesome idea😊
I actually find that a really cool idea. 😂
It’s funny, cause I was just thinking the same thing

John + Lisa -- as always, I love your videos and the honest assessment of what it takes and the hope about where you're going with the fish room. God bless + happy Holidaze, my friends!!!
I’ve always loved the look of the yellow labs against the dark background. Can’t wait for a rescape!

I maintain that the fireplace is just waiting for an incredible fish idea.

I know exactly what you’re doing with the shed inspired tanks, I LOVED their African set up and wanted to do the same thing, AMAZING!
Great video. Thank you for sharing. I need your advice. On the oscars tank what is the cover you use in the bottom to cover the stand? I need to cover mine now for Christmas decoration. God bless you all
Great video. I love the real life stuff. This is one of my favorite channels. Love you guys, and keep'em coming please.

You should see the african cichlid tank in the Lincoln Park zoo in Chicago, its huge , so many fish

You can’t slip a step brothers reference in without me noticing 😂😂 bunch of room for activities and stuff 😅
4:32 I always fear putting a large amount of rock in a tank and was paranoid to put large amounts of rock in for saltwater as well.
So I see Lisa has been adding plants to some of her other tanks, are you thinking about adding plants to some of your giant tanks now that you've begun experimenting with them?
Love the video. I also really like snails. I have two Mystery Snails in my 55-gallow community aquarium.

I feel a salt water tank in the future! I hope so. Have a good Holiday season guys!

Hey John great video! What light do you have on the 90?
That Peacock/Hap tank needs more more more 😂. Not enough color and movement. Love the tanks. ❤
KEEP'IT REAL
ENJOYED THE VIDEO
LOVE YOU GUYS
LETS HAVE MORE OF THESE VIDEOS .🐬❤️👍😸😺
I have a feeling that the "mystery tank" might be a "saltwater tank"
00:38 look at that little one! Who says cats aren't lovable and affectionate?
first thought?: DANG this just came out, i can't see the new scape he's talking about with those boulders in the two tanks. (hahaha)
thanks for talking about how busyness and stuff can really just make things unmanageable. you almost have to plan to get way less than you think you can handle, just so it evens out. and you can keep up when it does get hectic.
Looking forward to seeing what y'all do with The Old Fish-house💕👍
Love and respect the honesty 😂Keep up the good work!
Everything is AMAZING!!! I miss seeing the tanks during the live chats, though. 💕😻💕
Sorry for commenting twice but have you found a light that can work on the 15 gallon column tank? I want a better light for mine but it sort of limits what lights you can use
Looking forward to seeing the tank remodels! Adorable fish deserve to be spoiled 🥰
I've had up to five tanks at once n it definitely was too much work to keep them all clean n work full time n raise kids as well so I'm down to 2...I understand completely...your tanks still look good and your fish are healthy so your doing fine bud👍
You should show and explain the problem with the discus 125 to help those raising discus and how best to care for them.
may I ask the size of the goldfish tank, and its capacity? I have five in a 160ltr (uk) and think I may have to move one or two into the pond. TIA x
You can do a video on Bobble heads. We would like to see the Collection. And thank you for another great video.
Thank you. I love your shows.

@@KGTropicals Me too!
Video looks pretty dope on my phone in 21:9 mode. (Sony Xperia 1 ii)
Nice cropping on the video!
Your tanks are amazing, I’m struggling to keep up with our 20gallon.

I would even recommend it for those individuals who have the older fluorescent light to go ahead and upgrade to the new LED version.
Love watching you guys ❤
My guess on the new tank you add to the fish house is a saltwater set up.
Have you had you water inlet to property analyze " ppm, ppb " I don't know where you live in NC?
Poor Carl he is always getting blamed and accused! #carlisinnocent Great video like always! Just got a group of F1 flavescente myself :)
I do watch for the fish, but if Carl doesn't appear I feel cheated!
Carl needs a hug.
@@Khaeris right poor Carl is always getting accused by John 😂
Beautiful fish!
If you do that with the fry for the labs can you show how do you get them out of the female when they are holding?? Would love to see that. I love labs. Great job as always enjoy your day❤
I understand the hassle, just moved states in Australia and 7 weeks later, Im still playing catch up :)

Yellow lab tank, how much rock weight can the bottom glass hold?
Bro we all get behind.
Ur good. Ty for all the content
how about the fireplace to be an aquarium itself! :D would be interesting
Really liked this video, it was real
I take care of 6 tanks and hate if I fall behind. I am starting to make it a point to take weekends off so I can get on a strick schedule with the tanks. Working for myself does allow for a more open schedule but it's hard to turn down $$$. Anyways great video as normal.
Maybe pathos plants hang in your oscar bichir and severum tank to help keep clean
when your a fish keeper life gets in the way sometimes
What is the problem with a dirty tank if the water is within limits? I thought green/ish water was good? I also have tanks that are very dark for bettas, why not green?
I’m guessing a salt water aquarium is in the works 🐠🐠
I was always worried about putting big heavy rocks in my tank, it just seems like a giant mess waiting to happen lol
Labs look amazing
👍😎 Question John. Do you think it would be ok to hang a tv on wall over a tank? Not rimless, just standerd. (Moisture vs TV)
Yeah. Go for it
Sounds like a great plan
Love the Beard!!!
👍😎 Don’t be ashamed of promoting your business, isn’t that how Cory started on TH-cam? 🖖
Cheers! Bro As always with a good video 😎👌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

When will u guys ship to Canada I’d like to buy both T-shirts
I wouldn't cover that fireplace. I'd convert to gas/propane. For general heating, power outages and ambiance, cannot be beat!
Lisa has to post a betta breeding vid Ive been trying to breed them but my my fry dont survive I dont know why
She will someday!
Kitty! 😻❤
...just give us a 20 min video of that cat! 😍
Pouring rain? That looked like a light mist if anything. Lol but I don't like rain myself either
Keeping it real... great video!

Sounds like a auto water change system is needed for the Oscar tank.
@KGTropicals whatever happened to your Fluval Evo tank?
We still have it but it's not currently set up.
