this is a lovely, lovely song. the lyrics put it over the top.
the criticisms on the minimal chord usage.. go ahead, show us what you've written that ties music and vocals together so starkly and effectively.
The song is also about how she just wants the comfort of simplicity so it's quite fitting.
Complexity for the sake of complexity itself is boring. This is perfect.
To make a simple song good is harder compared to making it more complex
Her father is a country musician, and you can tell that that's the kind of tradition she learned to play guitar in-hence the simple chord progressions and fingerpicking.
Who is her father?
This is possibly her most beautiful song. Literally brings tears to my eyes sometimes. Some music is best when it's kept simple.

+Ladygaga121fan They're made for fingerpicking - easier to play, louder fuller sound than a steelstring, which is really designed for strumming and flatpicking. I'm always surprised more fingerpickers outside of classical and flamenco don't use them.
I would love to see the deftones cover this. Can we somehow make this happen, start a campaign or something?
