If you think all illegal immigrants should be deported, remember this man. The migrant worker you look down upon could be the one you're thanking after a lifesaving operation in the future. I love this so much it is an inspiration and part of my motivation to be a neurologist!
You know i have to be honest , i was one of thous people who thought that all illegal immigrants should be deported, that they are just a burden on US. But after i read the story of Dr. Alfredo Quinones-Hinojosa, i changed my mind. I think all immigrants legal (as i am) and illegal make this country and this society much better place for every one. If a person has a desire and will power to succeed and take the opportunity this country has to offer he should be welcomed America = opportunity.
I give you lot of credit for find out nothing Rong be immigrants we human looking for better opportunity just like your family or everybody on the world looking for better life if you hungry you have to move anywhere so God bless you and God bless America
Thank you Dr. Quinones for showing the world the other side of illegal immigration. The majority of us are not criminals, we are hardworking people, only seeking a better life. You are a true inspiration to me and to many Latinos with dreams of success. I hope to one day become like you. =)

@belindalucero Amen! I don't understand why the dream act legislators or the people who wrote the bill didn't think of him to be the Poster for the bill. We are in this country not to poison it but to continue its greatness. Dr. Quiñones is much more than pure inspiration to me and my fellow immigrants. We mustn't look down when we are treated badly but learn to overcome that hatred and do what he has beautifully done. :)
Congratulations to Dr. Alfredo Quiñones-Hinojosa, but my opinion I was bothered by the Reader's Digest story that he is a workaholic 24x7, once you have CHILDREN, you have a RESPONSIBILITY to spend a fair amount of time with those children especially when they are young.
This is my doctor. He's an amazing man and healer. A gift to medicine and to this country...actually to the world. Thanks, Dr. Q!

Dr alfredo operated on my father, and i cannot tell you how humble this man is....was an honor to meet a man with this characteristics.
He also operated on my mother and I agree that is an incredibly caring and humble man. America is lucky to have him here!
