Or both of them from a third party? Using whistles and other noises in stead of speaking is also a generic clown/mime thing, it's not something only these two do. I'm not really familiar with Arsene though (I just did a quick google to see how long he's been doing the clown thing), so I dunno if there's more gags they have in common.
